Any advice. Where is the best place to buy replacement parts? This is a real budget buster, especially right after the holidays. I would really hate to have to buy a new vacuum. My coffee maker, vacuum and refrigerator all broke this month.

My best friend fixed her dyson by herself. Couldn't find the part anywhere so she ordered it on ebay and had it sent from england. It went fantastic and still works now.

Thanks for the quick reply. If you speak with your friend, could you ask her if it was the clutch. I don't really know how to diagnose a vacuum that no longer makes any sound. I have cleaned everything out, including the filters and belts. There is very little information online. a clutch runs about $50.

Not to sound stupid. But did you take the very front peice off, the part that actually picks up the dirt? Reason I am asking was I had to do this on Saturday (Jan 1st) while I was cleaning I lost complete suction. It was blocked with paper and it would not work. Cleaned that part and works good as new.

I would call Dyson.

I have had many pieces replaced by them including the whole wind tunnel main vaccuum.

Other items were filters, belts, whole roller blade w/belt,etc.

I love their customer service.

since my vacuum is way past warranty. It is six years old. I should give them a call. I have to clean my beater brush every time I vacuum since I have long hair.
