Crazy question, but has anyone ever been at a character meal and had something happen to one of the characters?? For example, spilling food or beverages on the characters, kids getting sick on characters? Was just wondering what happens in a situation like that, it has to have happened with all of the anxious kids in attendance. We are going next month with our 4yr old DD and can only imagine!

We don't have kids, but when hubby & I ate at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast - our server dropped her tray & spilled my glass of chocolate milk all over Belle's dress! Belle finished with our table & then excused herself to change her dress/apron. :)

When we were at Chef Mickey's in August, Mickey's head wasn't correctly attached and you could see straight up inside the mask. There was a decent size gap you could see straight up inside. Our son saw that it was actually a costume with someone inside it (up until then he really thought Mickey was a big mouse), but told us that he knew "the real Mickey was still at MK"

When we were in line for the white power ranger's autograph at MGM, he went sprinting off into a cast only area. I think he may have gotten overheated because it was terribly hot and the rest of the power rangers stayed and finished their autograph session.

We were having dinner at 1900 Park Fare 2 years ago. Cinderella came to our table and our 3 yo DD said hello, then threw up all over the table. She missed Cinderella's gown, but got it all over her own Cinderella dress. I rushed her out to the bathroom and we just about ran over the Fairy Godmother in the hall. Not a pretty sight!! Everybody was very nice about it, though. We had to cancel PSB the next morning because DD was up all night.

Turns out our DD had a urinary tract infection that was causing her to throw up everything......ended up in the ER 2 days later.

At breakfast at Chef Mickey's one morning Minnie's bloomers slid down around her ankles. When she realized it, she held a napkin over her face, and acted embarassed as she backed into the kitchen.

Our friends did PSB Breakfast in November and an electric scooter ran over Snow White's foot. Snow White left the breakfast rather quickly (to the dismay of my friend's daughters who didn't realize she was injured). It's tough to be a princess!

Oh, that poor little thing 1princessesmom! Nothing more heartbreaking than having a sick kid at WDW. And Hanover, so glad your son knew that the real Mickey is the in the Magic Kingdom! The characters sometimes need helpers like Santa does, right?

My dd spilled her juice at PSB. 2 seconds later and it would have been all over Mulan! Mulan picked up her cup and said "don't worry, I spill things all the time too" and told the server to bring her another juice. It was very sweet and made my day.

2 things - both at CRT breakfast last May & both involved our then 3 year old son:

1. Snow White was absolutely wonderful w/ our son & completely enchanted him. She gave him a kiss on his cheek which left a huge lipstick print on him - very cute & he was so proud of it! Anyway, when Cinderella came to our table, she hugged him, and the lipstick kiss also left an imprint on Cinderella's neck. I didn't notice until my DH pointed it out when she moved on to the next table - it was very glaringly obvious. Her handler also noticed, and not soon after, Cinderella disappeared to tidy up. :teeth:

2. At this same breakfast, our son was being so careful w/ his food, but he still managed to accidentally overturn his glass of orange juice. He was so upset & started crying. The server saw & rushed right over to clean up our table, assuring him the whole time. She went to get him more juice & came back w/ both the juice & a handful of pixie dust (gold glitter) from Tinkerbell (our son was dressed up as Peter Pan) to make it all better! :goodvibes

Love the pixie dust from the server!! so cool that the server did that. :tink:

Not an accident but a funny moment with a character at Donald's Breakfastosaurous.

I was at WDW with my cousin and his potty training 2 year old son. Just as we sat down to eat Matthew announced that he had to go 'potty'. A few minutes later he comes flying across the restaurant, smack into Donald Duck, and then right into me yelling all the way " I just went poopy in the potty!!!" Donald and the handler came running over and Donald made a big deal about it by jumping up and down and patting Matthew on the head. A manager came over to find out what was going on. Again, Matthew proudly said " I went poopy in the potty!" The manager replied, " Well you know buddy, I did that today too!" He then had Donald Duck sign a picture and present it to Matthew. Matthew still talks about that day.

Not a charactor breakfast but a few years ago at EPCOT Chip and Dale were making the rounds in the concourse going up to kids and all of a sudden a long blond pony tails falls out from either Chip or Dales's head and is hanging down the back. One of the Hostess that accompany them quickly took care of it...smjj

We have had two funny/embarrassing things happen to us at character meals.

1. At CP breakfast my DS got very excited when both Piglet and Tigger arrived at our table. Our server had just brought us our drinks, oj and chocolate milk. DS jumped out of his seat to hug Tigger and knocked the full glass of chocolate milk all over Piglet. He (Piglet) was drenched! Our server came over quickly to clean up the mess and Piglet disappeared for a little while! DS got a bit upset but Tigger made a fuss of him and he recovered quickly.

2. At the GG character dinner, Pluto had just visited our table. We were seated on the upper level next to a small set of steps. Pluto was walking backwards away from our table and must have forgotten about the steps. He fell down the steps and landed on his butt at the bottom! My kids were laughing because they thought this was part of the fun, and Pluto jumped up quickly, but I think the incident was unplanned!

Minnie lost an eyelash once when we were at Chef Mickey's. She excused herself and came back all fixed up!

One time when we were at CP for dinner, Piglet collapsed while making table rounds. Four CM's carried him through a door into a room out of sight. They told us that Piglet wasnt feeling well...we assumed overheated or something...he didnt come back while we were there. The rest of the times we went to CP, piglet didnt make table rounds, he stood near the buffet area and you went to him.

O.K. Here is the adult story - Goofy accidently bopped me in the face with his big nose. Let me tell you it really hurt. My face was red and I had to go back to the hotel room for some tylenol. I know Goofy was really sorry because he got down on his knees to apologize etc. , kept wanting to spend more and more time at our table. I just really wanted him to get away from me at that point. I was not in a good mood. This was last easter breakfast day. Didnt start the day off right for sure.

hi: this was a ladies-only trip with a character breakfast at the bc. either chip or dale's zipper was not done up correctly and they were in danger of losing the costume. one of my friends just helped fix the zipper so the poor little chipmunk didn't lose it completely.

Last Jan. 05 we where having Breakfast at the CP and Tigger in all his fun came over and tried to put his hands over my eyes, I didn't know he was there and scared the C**P out of me, just then my wife snapped a picute of my head leaned back, my glassess pulled half of with me making this horible face.

I will look for the pic later and post it for your enjoyment and my embarrassment..... :rotfl:

I remember someone here awhile back posting a story about a kid knocking Pooh over I believe at CP and how Pooh was like a turtle on his back, waving his arms and legs cause he couldn't get up. Oh, it was so funny! :lmao: Maybe that person will see this and tell it again.
