Anyone ever done a Grand Gathering event?

I was wondering if anyone has ever done one of the Grand Gathering activities offered? Some of them look fun, but are they worth the extra cost?
We are a group of 19, with 11 adults and 8 kids (age range of 16yrs to 1 year) so we would need something to appeal to a wide group.
