Someone's got to be the very LAST person out! Right!?! Anyone ever wait for a "personal CM escort" to the gate or anything?

My son & I were the last people out of MK one night - We had a CM take a picture of us on an empty Main St. with no one else around.....

The security folks don't really push you out, they more or less herd you by making their presence known. We approached them & asked for the picture - While they were taking it, the last of the crowds left, hence leaving us the last to walk out.

It was pretty cool to be the only guests on Main St.

I just posted a response to the thread "how late have you been in the MK" about my experience of being the last person out. Check out that thread to see some other responses. :earsgirl:

On the first night of our hunnymoon in 1995, DH and I ate dinner at MK in the castle - back then it was called King Stephen's Banquet Hall.

It was a Monday night and we got to the restaurant at around 630pm. By the time we were done eating it was 830 or so and we were stunned to see not another soul as we walked from the castle down Main Street. The shops were even closed.

Granted it was January and VERY cold (40º) but we had a good 10-15 minutes where we felt that we were all alone in WDW. We didn't see any CMs until we got to the end of Main Street and even then we weren't asked to leave right away.

I doubt we'll ever experience something like that again at WDW - it was truly magical!

we weren't the last people out, but we were herded out!! it was on our honeymoon in 2002. we had just finished watching the fireworks and were headed back towards main street. we stopped on the hub in front of the castle when we ran into another DISer (tc and her DH). we stood and talked for what seemed like an eternity when some CM's approached us. they basically informed (very nicely and politely) us it was time to leave! it was kinda funny at the time...we were "kicked out" of the MK!!

we still giggle about that to this day...

We closed MGM but not by choice. DD was having tummy troubles after Fantasmic was over and we spent nearly an enternity in the bathroom afterwards. When we came out, with a security guard leading the way, we were the only ones left in the park besides CM's, security and cleaning crews. It was really cool to see it like that!;)

we were talking to some nices cm's at ak last nov. at closing outside front entrance by characters, when they realized the characters were gone.and they were locking the gates to ak. you should have seen them run.

Last 4th of July we spent the entire day at Epcot. There were a bunch of us - people who had met at the parks and become friends because of seeing each other all the time. Well, we watched the fireworks and were in no hurry to leave because of all the masses of people heading toward the exit. So we just sat and talked and talked and sat and slowly made our way toward the exit. Well, finally we realized that no one else was around so we headed to the exit gates. I was the last person on the last tram to the parking lot. Good thing they were still there b/c I was parked all the way out in Wonder! I think there were maybe 6 cars left in all of the lots by the time I got into my vehicle.

My DD and I were the last ones out of MGM in December 2000. We watched Fantasmic and then walked through the blowing "snow" through the Osborne lights before leaving. It was incredible how nobody was around. Very peaceful!
