Anyone ever check in late for a ressie?

My kids and nephew are scheduled to go on the Pirate Cruise leaving from the GF Marina at 9:30. The 4 adults in our group have 9:40 ressies at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. I'm afraid that if the Cruise cruises late, we will not make 9:40. This is the only time I could get for breakfast.

What happens if we check in a few minutes late?

Do not worry about this at all. The cruise will go off exactly at 9:30. That cruise is nothing if not precise. About the only thing you will have to worry about is how long you want to stay there and wave goodbye to your kids. And your reservation will be held for fifteen minutes after your time anyway. Relax and enjoy your breakfast.

(BTW - you will want to be at the dock before 11:30 - you will not want to miss the boat pulling into the dock, trust me.)

With all due respect, you do realize that 1900 Park Faire is a character meal, don't you? It just seems a little odd to do this without the kids. That meal in particular (I was last there before the remodel ) was one of the most kid oriented meals I've visited.

Having said that, there was a time when we getting to Epcot's WS for dining and our ressie wasn't held. We did get in, but it was a long wait. If you are late, it is kid of up to the discretion of the restaurant. They will probably seat you, but you may well have a long(er) wait.

I do know it is a character meal. I thought this was the best option for us. As far as I know, the only other restaurant open for breakfast at this resort is the GF Cafe, and given the choice between the two, I'd rather go to Park Fare. I don't feel comfortable leaving the resort with my kids on the cruise.

I know it would be more fun if the kids were there, but I think they'll have a better time playing pirate.

When my DD went to the kids club there - we went to the CS & had breakfast & coffee sitting outside near the marina. It was lovely. We then went & sat on the beach.

Thank you! In December I was excited to book it for our upcoming June trip. I heard the review on the email podcast this past week and the excitement factor went through the roof!!! They are going to LOVE it!!! The adults might enjoy a meal alone too.

DH and I have done 1900 PF alone and it was great. I don't think it matters if you have kids or not at character meals.

We were over an hour late for our CRT breakfast ADR because I was really sick in the morning. We asked if they'd still seat us and it was no problem. Seated right away and by a window too. They were very nice about everything.
