Anyone ever cancel an Expedia or Hotel Kingdom reservation?

How long did it take to get your money back? I want to book either Cypress Pointe Grand Villas or Vistana Resort to make sure I get the rate being offered now. (Even though I know they both get mixed reviews.) We would really like to stay at Marriott's Grande Vista again, but the lowest price I can find that doesn't require a timeshare presentation is $189 for a one bedroom. If any deals do come out for MGV, I would cancel the Hotel Kingdom or Expedia reservation, but I don't want to wait weeks to get my money back, especially since both companies require payment of the whole stay upfront.

I booked a Hotel room through Expedia and was disgusted with the room once I arrived at the hotel. They credited me back that same day and moved me to another property. This wasn't a Disney experience, but I'm sure you'd be treated the same way.

Are you a member of Marriott Rewards? If so, try the current discount codes for your dates. If not, join and then try them.

Took two weeks to get refund from Hotel Kingdom. Had to keep on calling to see why they have not put it through. We only got a refund for deposit on hotel less the $10.00 change fee. We booked another place with hotelkingdom.

Thanks everyone! I think I may just go ahead and book with either Hotel Kingdom or Expedia.

I don't have any points on my Marriott Rewards card yet, but I tried it anyway and it came up with the same price I had been getting. I'm going to keep checking their member specials though and hope the Grande Vista comes up.

Pay ATTENTION!
Expedia has a lot of "special values" These cannot be cancelled so don't book one if you want to be able to cancel.
