Anyone ever been a Neilsen Family?

I just received the packet of information asking us to be a Neilsen Family. It sounds interesting and I was just wondering what the pros and cons are. can anyone out there provide some information?

I just finished up ours at the end of November. It was actually alot easier than I expected. We have 3 TV's, but only the one in the living room got used that week. So only one diary needed to be filled out.

We got the big 5 bucks to do it, so at least they give you something. I would do it again, just to let my TV viewing voice be heard.

My sister got her packest to fill out at the end of Nov.

We were a Neilsen Family 2 years ago during February Sweeps.

Keep the form next to the TV and when a show comes on, you can write it down. The first couple of days are easy, but it is easy to put off, especially if you have tv's in the bedroom, then you have to fill it in.

The Neilsen's have an office in my hometown, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and I know a lot of people that work there, and they said they receive about 30% of the polls that they mail out for the week.

I've never been a Neilsen family but I used to work for them. It was interesting reading the diarys. My job was programming. I'd check the diarys for errors and correct them if possible--

We were a Neilsen family, but for radio, not tv.

We were one for two weeks during the 1996 Olympics. Our diary was pretty boring: Olympics, Olympics, Olympics. I don't think I watched anything else that week. The second week was blank as we were at DH's family's house in Atlanta to see, of course, the Olympics! We did get the $5, woo hoo!
