Anyone else's Zhu-Zhus go missing?

My kids each got a Zhu-Zhu pet for Christmas. My two-year old especially loved his, and spent all morning playing with it. However, the crazy little hamsters have minds of their own and crawled off by themselves. We tried to turn one off, but it was still moving and squeaking 5 minutes later. We found one in the hallway, one in the kitchen, and one under the couch, but the last one is AWOL. And it just happens to be the 2-year-old's. He keeps asking where his hamster is, and I've looked EVERYWHERE, but am out of ideas. Anyone else have a hamster crawl off into oblivion?

My kids were playing with one in my MIL's basement. During present opening time there was chaos and I had forgotten all about it. Suddenly it ran right into my foot and scared the bejeezus out of me! I'm terrified of mice and that's the first thing I thought of! Those things are remarkably realistic. We need more track!

My 2 year old DDs hamster has gone missing as well. Somewhere at Grandma's house. Luckily we have 3 more, hoping it will turn up soon.

One of ours also went awol for a few hours on xmas morning. We found it later that day under one of our floor length curtains. Who would have thought?

Omilord I know what you mean!!!! We have eight of them and num nums is Mia currently and no where to be found. They'll just keep wandering around wherever they please as long as they can get there lol.

LOL - exactly! Our missing hamster is Pipsqueak, and according to the zhu zhu pets website, here's her bio:
She may be sweet and small, but this petite powerhouse isn't afraid of anything. A daredevil with the curiosity of a dozen cats, she loves to play, explore, run and slide. Just give her some wiggle room and watch her do her stuff.

We may never find her.
