Anyone else's trip coming too fast???

We leave the 25th and I am not nearly prepared that I have been in the past trips. My DS's are actually a head of us. They have already starting packing all their disney shirts they are taking. All I have bought are the ponchos for a $1.00 each and the travel toothbrushes. I know I have time but it is sneaking up on me. I have, however, had some medical things lately to deal with that is preoccupy my mind and that is the problem. We were worried that we might have had to cancel, but thankful we did not have too.

Anyone else going soon and not ready and freaking out???

We leave the same day... medical issues... and ponchos... I will say I am totally ready for the last hoorah before another school year though. Think of the magic and fun.

Yeah, I realized today that we leave in 17 days and I haven't started getting anything together. We spent all of last weekend ripping carpet out of our house and still have 2 more rooms, but only 1 will get finished before our trip. I have so much to do, plus DH's birthday in between. I better get started, even though it is only a weekend trip for me and mom.

Me too! We leave in 15 days & I'm not nearly as ready as I was for our last trip in 2006. It seems that life keeps throwing more things at me that need to be taken care of before we go. I just keep thinking how great it will be to get away and enjoy ourselves when the time comes!

Eight days to go and two monkey wrenches. Loss of hearing in one ear due to wax I can't seem to get out. A crazy bill out of nowhere for $5,000.00 that had been accumulating since 2006 and was sent to the wrong address until now. The bill is a complete error and I know it will get resolved as I have proof but working with the department of motor vehicles is a nightmare. They asked for a form xx as proof, I said I could fax it to them "no, the insurance company must send it". I asked why as this form was sent to me by the insurance company, they said this was their policy. This will probably take tons of paperwork and a month to work out, just what I needed before my vacation.

I'll try and finish up this weekend as we leave in 8 days though my ear is really bothering me.

Oh my goodness - you hit the nail on the head. We leave Tuesday, the 19th, and I am starting to freak out a little. It seems like it was taking FOREVER for the time to come, but now we are not as ready as I'd like. Still have to do the pre-order of the PhotoPass, finish packing, and do some last minute things around the house. Other than that, I think we'll be ok. Will be at the mouse for 12 days!!! Staying in FW Cabins, so will be looking for lime green mickeys

Our trip isn't coming fast enough. We really need our WDW vacation to take us away from reality for awhile.

We have twelve days left and I can't even concentrate on Disney as we start school the morning after we return. I have three girls and clothes shopping is so much fun!!! They wouldn't leave Staples today, they LOVE that place. Good news is I did quite a bit shopping two days in a row, Two kids down clothes wise, one half way done. Shoes done. Supplies 90% done. Now, I am going to try and plan my trip some more...wish me luck!!!

YES...I know what you mean. We leave on the 31st,
just a little over two weeks away. We have already started school (been in for eight days now) and that has seemed to distract me from my WDW trip. I've been so busy with getting my children back into the school swing of things; not to mention getting myself back into the swing of teaching sixth graders ! . It's been hard to focus on anything else except school right now. Usually it's the other way around when you've got a trip planned.

Repeat after me....I will make trip preparations this weekend.

We leave on the 24th and come back the night before the first day of middle school (6th grade twin DD and 7th grade DS)...I can't seem to keep the piles of clothing straight anymore - the weather's been pretty cold and clammy (although I'll admit it's darn sunny today! ) so the "summer", "vacation", and "back to school" piles are all beginning to look a little too similar! Guess I need to put "vacation" in the suitcase and zip it up!

But... I'll take this kind of crazy disorganization anytime if the goal is Disney!

P.S. I bought the dollar ponchos and the misty fan things (wait... those need batteries don't they....aaaauuuuggghhhh!!!)....

We leave the 22nd of August and also return the night before school starts. DD 11 is starting Middle School.

We've been so excited for our trip--and we still are. But whoa!!! Put the BRAKES on!!! I haven't been THIS BUSY at work or home all summer long. Now it's 8 days before our trip and NOTHING is done. We don't have anything packed, the house is a wreck because I haven't been home and I am STRESSIN'!!!! This week is a NIGHMARE at work. This coming weekend I have a full day Saturday--starting around 6:00am and ending well after midnight and I will be away from home the whole day. I have a wedding Sunday and we leave next Tuesday. Talk about crazy!!! I think I'm going to be up Monday night packing!!!

Right there with you! My house is a disaster, kids are swinging from the chandelier with excitement and I leave one week from tomorrow!!!! I'm in the same boat with you. My daughter is playing in a soccer tournament Sat. and Sun. so we basicly have to hang at the fields all day long and then I have to go to work both nights! That leaves Monday to finish packing and get the kids their haircuts for back to school and then shuttle arrives to pick us up at 4:15AM!!! I think I need some caffeine...

I leave in less than a week and I am not as organized as I usually am. But I don't stress, everything will get done and we will have a great trip. Hot but fun. We leave WDW on the Friday before Labor Day because of the crowds and to give DD and her friend a day or two to recover before starting school on the Tuesday after Labor Day.

We still have about 27 days to go. But that weekend before Sept 15, the day we leave, I have a huge birthday party and a wedding to decorate for. I'll be going crazy that week.
With that happening, I"m starting my "big house clean" today and then just tidy up as the days go along.
Plus dh has a birthday in there too!

ughhh!! i just had to plan a last minute trip to Washington DC, right before my trip to Disney. I only have 1 DAY to unpack, wash, and repack my entire family's clothes and load the car before leaving for Disney Geez!!
