I dont mean that WWOHP wont be great- I have no doubt it be spectacular, amazing, wonderful, and 7 different kinds of awesome. My concern is that gone will be the days of just spending a relaxing day or two of enjoying all each park has to offer. With Potterphiles coming from around the globe, I fear the wait times for all rides not just HP ones will be beyond excessive for the foreseeable future. Don't get me wrong I think its great Universal/IOA will finally get the attention it deserves, but still I want things to stay the way they are. Anyone else share these concerns?

I have my doubts that it will be amazing. I hope I am wrong but it just does not seem like my cup of tea.

I would of also liked to see MORE added rather then just retheme'ing the old stuff. I will wait till the final product to hold full judgement but it doesn't impress me much atm.

Then ofcoarse the crowds will give me little pause also. Although since I live semi nearby and almost always either stay onsite or stick to the single rider lines it has less effect on me.

I will say I enjoyed the lower crowds my last few trips and hope it doesn't go completely insane with ppl. But we''ll see.

I only hope the opening and logistics go better than HRRR...We were down in December and it was not running as much as it was.
I will say looking at the parts that are constructed so far it looks like it's going to be worth a trip. I hope it works.:)

The added crowds and revenues will hopefully mean more additions. I like medium crowds. Sometimes the low crowds at Universal just take away some of the excitement.

I think the crowds are going to be crazy at first and it will be imperative to go during low season.

I have no doubts that the WWoHP will deliver everything it's supposed to and I also think more additions could be on the way...depending on how well the parks do over the next year or so.

The crowds will be massive during the summer and probably still pretty bad into the once "slow" season. Just like Disney...I don't think there will truly be a slow season after WWoHP opens.

As long as you have your expectations in line as to what it is, it'll be totally worth it. A brand new island in one of the best theme parks in the world heralded by a world-class E-Ticket attraction based on one of the most popular and beloved entertainment properties of all time? Yes please. ;)

I've never been to Universal so could you all stay home so that I can experience the slow paced environment you describe?;)

And, I'm going in the summer last week of July - first week of August. So book around me please :thumbsup2

I won't be over there during the height of summer...it's too bloody hot!

I think I know how TaylorsDad feels.

I like US/IOA for the theming, atmosphere, amazing bartenders at Finnegans (Phil, Dan & Jim ... you guys are the BEST!!!!), and the fact that you don't need to plan every minute of your vacation like you do with the folks across the street. We have an offsite timeshare, and our US/IOA days are our "relaxing days," our days where we don't have every meal planned, we don't know which park we're going to go to until we get off the people mover and pass Gump's, we don't even know how long we'll stay at the parks.

And, yes, as someone who doesn't care about HP or its wizarding world, I'm a bit nervous that my beloved parks are going to become chaotic crazy zoos packed with people all the time. See, I don't care for crowds at all!

We've renewed our annual passes (they even renewed them the other day at last year's prices ... very good customer service, imo) but this is probably going to be a year we focus more on the mouse and just try and squeeze in a beer at our favorite drinking spots at US/IOA, people watch and hit Twister/Shrek/Spiderman. We'll be down in a few weeks, again in May and then again end of August/beginning of September. So I'm hoping we'll get a feel for how this is going to impact USO.

I am, however, optimistic about the bar that used to be in the tree!!! I mean, that's going to come back, right? And they're not doing anything with Mythos, thank God.

I suppose I'm a bit resistant to change. I miss King Kong for goodness sake!

We're headed on our trip very soon and then not again for three more years. It's been three years since our last trip. So, I'm hoping the crazy crowds have died down a bit by the time we return. (And glad that I already bought our $99 tickets for the year 2013!)

I've been to US/IOA at the peak of crowds. DH and I went three years in a row over Christmas/New Years. The first year IOA wasn't open yet so it was brand new the next year. We managed to do so many rides even on New Year's eve despite the crowds. The number of rides we did really was rather insane. (Single rider helped! We weren't staying on-site so we didn't have the faster line perk). We can handle crowds at US/IOA easily without kids - but I hate crowds now that we have young kids.
