Anyone else watching The Bachelorette?

It's supposed to be about building a relationship between TWO people, not a lovefest only about herself.

Actually, the whole premise of the show was that she was chosen to be the bachelorette and it was supposed to be about her finding someone to build a relationship with.

And back to Jason for a second - I don't think it was right for him to be on the show. BUT since he made that decision for himself, I don't think she should have been obligated to treat him any differently than any of the other guys on the show.

I pretty much agree with most of you. I am only 50 but I guess I am too old for this show......yes, I know they all signed on for this and the results come down to 2....ya da ya da.....but, didn't we learn growing up that it's not nice to lead people on and hurt their feelings? I couldn't believe last night watching the show that I was even WATCHING it! What is wrong with me?:rotfl2: I am NOT going to watch anymore of these stupid shows.....(please please stick to it this time) I am going to stick with Big Brother where everyone is so nice to each other:scared1: :goodvibes :rotfl:

Absolutely. The premise of the show in itself is ridiculous... when one person is dating twenty-five others of course a lot of people are going to be led on and get hurt! But that's what the show's about and this is around the fifteenth season so anyone signing up for it knows exactly what they're getting themselves into :confused3 DeAnna HAD to have two guys standing at the end and she HAD to get rid of one of them. There was no getting around that and on season after season, the final person rejected is always led on but it's what they signed up for!

The whole premise of the show is to narrow it down to 2 people then have a big dramatic finale and (producer's finger's crossed) a happily ever after. Everybody knows this going in...her, the guys, the audience, so I don't get why she's getting crucified for doing that!
I agree with you there! ::yes::

I just had to go back and watch the ending again this morning with those darn flowers. :rotfl: As Jason is walking towards Deanna, they are white. When he arrives, they're pink. When they start to hug, they're white. When they finish hugging, they're pink. When he gets down on one knee to propose, they're white. They stay white through the end of the rejection, but when she starts to walk him back to the limo, they're pink again, and then white from another shot from a distance. Sheesh, how long did they drag it out for this poor guy?

When Jesse arrives, the flowers are white. When he reaches Diana, they're pink. After they kiss, when they get into place for the proprosal, they're white, and stay that way until they end. Don't they have a props person??

Well, that was fun!

And there was a very awkward change of scenes and pause right before Jason gets down on his knee to propose. It all makes me wonder how many takes they took to get the right shots.

I wonder if Jason proposed and they edited it out.

I have a feeling there were a lot of edits at the then.

OK....since no one else has said it. She also spent the night with all 3 of them. Dare I say, does anyone else wonder if she..............with all 3 of them? Sheesh:scared1:

I liked Jesse from the very first episode, so I'm happy.

I also never liked Jason. I didn't like that he left his baby to be on the show, I didn't like that he lied to DeAnna about him to begin with, and I especially didn't like how he (AND DeAnna) got the hopes of a little 3-year old up for a new Mommy.

I totally agree with you !

On the After the Final Rose ceremony Jason asked DeAnna why she let him propose so I was thinking about that too. They always do a lot of takes to get all the shots they need and I have a feeling that he actually proposed during one of them cause from what we saw he just started to get down on his knee when she stopped him so that wouldn't count as proposing :confused3

Jesse would have been my pick for her. Jason would not have added anything to her life and Jesse will cause her to stretch, grow and enjoy life. Safe is boring. Jason was darn cute but boring. I'm guessing Jesse would be the more creative partner thus Deanna will be more satisfied and challenged in a positive way. If she test drove them in the boudoir, I'm guessing Jesse would be much more fun there too! Ooo la la!

Yes, it was hard on Jason because he has a child. But you know what? I blame Jason for participating in the show, not DeAanna so much for the end result. And I'm sure people would have been complaining no matter which choice she made - if it was the other way around, it would be poor Jesse, she's so superficial, she didn't want to marry a snowboarder.

And you know what - people say it was "all about her" - DUH! Who was it supposed to be about? I think she did a great job balancing being true to herself with not hurting people in the process. However, I think she should have told Jason the minute he hit the podium and not let him start to propose. That I didn't like, but I understood her explanation to him.

I think her and Jesse are ADORABLE together and I really hope it lasts. The track record for the show is not good, but more so when it's the GUYS picking the girls on the Bachelor. (I mean seriously - Shayne is wife material??) And as far as the wedding being televised - that was probably a contractual obligation they had to agree to before this even started so I don't blame them for that one.

I couldn't have said this better myself!!

When Trista chose Ryan she made a comment about how Charlie was more like all the other guys she dated and Ryan was so different. She followed her heart and it lasted.

DeAnna said just about the same thing (not sure if it was a coincidence) about Jason being more of the type of guy she has dated and Jesse being totally different. Again, it seemed like she followed her heart as to what is in her best interest. There is nothing wrong with that. She has to look out for herself because no one else can live her life. I commend her for that!!

One thing I don't understand is why everyone thinks Jason coming on the show is wrong - because he has a son? Are you NOT supposed to try to find love because you have a child? She had to meet Ty and the rest of Jason's family if he could have been the one she picked. It happens everyday that people bring their SO home to meet their children and family. Most times relationships don't work out for one reason or another that doesn't mean that the child will get hurt - he didn't even know DeAnna that well. They didn't build a "mommy/son relationship" there was no time for that. Ty will be fine - he may not even remember her.

I will be watching next season!!

Lisa

I gotta tell ya, I really felt bad for Jeremy. I ended up liking him a lot towards the end of the season. I would like to see him as the next bachelor.

:thumbsup2

That's exactly what I was about to say. I did think that DeAnna was selfish and immature when it came to a lot of things, but she did what she had to do. It was sad for Jason that he didn't get picked but she had to narrow it down to two people and Jason was the other person she came closest to falling in love with. In the end it just wasn't there but that's what the show's about. Only one guy gets picked, and everyone who agrees to be on the show knows that. It's not her fault that Jason was hurt in the end and she has nothing to do with his son; you could tell she felt bad but she had to let someone go. I really liked Jason but that was all his own doing, he signed up for the show and risked getting hurt, and unfortunately that's how things panned out.

:thumbsup2

that's what I was wondering too...it also seemed she wanted us to think it was a one take thing (or the behind the scenes people).

Jason and Jesse were some of our favorites from the very beginning. I hope everyone is happy.

I agree. It's sad to see someone hurt, but that's what happens on the show. It's a chick show - it plays on our emotions! :lovestruc

Part of the reason I think Jason coming on the show was wrong because of the amount of time he was away. Granted I have no idea exactly HOW LONG he was actually away, but it had to be for a few weeks at a time and that's got to be tough on his son. Or worse, he was home a few days, gone a few days, back for a day and his son had to be shuffled around, which would have been very confusing since kids thrive on routine and consistency.

Although I agree with what you said - Ty is young, and kids are resilient and I'm sure he'll forget about meeting DeAnna quicker than we can imagine, so no damage done. As a parent I don't think that every life decision needs to revolve completely around your children, but I also think there are a lot of better ways to find love than to fly to California to participate in a reality TV show and leave your son home with other people.

I agree but Jason said Ty was with his mom which is a lot different than being shuffled around between different people.

Okay, you and babie... :lmao:

Duh!! We know it's supposed to be 24 castoffs and 1 so called "winner"... we all know that.

What other Bachelor spent the entire show talking about "I know how you feel" "I WON'T do to you what Brad did to me" "I've been in your shoes"... by last night I was convinced she had a rolling tape player running under tongue!!! I was seriously SICK of hearing it.

She let Richard, Fred, Robert AND Jeremy go with the same tape recorded message.

WHY is it not cool to lead on a child? I could give a crap about grown men losing their hearts... they go NEXT and half the audience of After the Final Rose would be at their feet!

I agree that Jason should've never put Ty thru this but luckily he's young enough not to be ultra affected. I am a single parent and I didn't date until my son was 13. I know how difficult it is to bring people in and out of their lives. That was Jason's responsibility. Basing her "stepmother skills" by her rocking him to sleep in the car... ... selfish women make LOUSY stepmothers, Jason, get a grip. Think with BIG Jason Head!!!

I would LOVE to be a bug on the wall of Ty's Mother last night, though!!! :lmao: I bet SHE has a story to tell!!!:rotfl2:

Not sure if this had been mentioned before, but I read about it a while back on FORT, and just saw mention of it again. Bevin, from the Andy season, was in Jason's wedding. How weird is that?

:lmao: Exactly, that's the point of the show so I don't see why everyone's so bent out of shape over her hurting Jason?! It's sad that it happened but it had to happen. She said that she felt nothing for the guys she let go of earlier so she did the right thing by not leading them on. There had to be a final two though, and she did have feelings for Jason so that's why she kept him around. Unfortunately it didn't work out for him but that's not solely Deanna's fault

But I was sick of hearing the same speech over and over again too. Last night was the WORST! I did love this season but last night's episode was way too long. It was two hours of...

Jason: I love Deanna.

Jesse: I love Deanna.

Jason: I've fallen in love with Deanna.

Jesse: I've fallen completely in love with Deanna.

(Close-up of guys crying)

Jason: I really love Deanna.

Jesse: I really, really love Deanna.

Jeremy: I wanted another free trip to the Bahamas so I went along with the producers idea to beg for Deanna back.

Jason: I'm so in love with Deanna.

Jesse: I'm so, so in love with Deanna.

Deanna: Both guys love me so much and one of their dreams is about to come true by getting to be with me!

 :lmao:

The ending was kind of anticlimatic for me. I didn't really "see" her with Jason or Jesse. I think she went well with Jeremy.

If Jeremy is the next Bachelor I will watch that season. I like him and I hope he finds a nice a girl.

I did think it was funny last night when Jason was talking about how she looked at Jesse and at Graham.

I would LOVE to be a bug on the wall of Ty's Mother last night, though!!! :lmao: I bet SHE has a story to tell!!!:rotfl2:
I was thinking the same thing!

Deanna: Both guys love me so much and one of their dreams is about to come true by getting to be with me!
I laughed out loud when she said that! :lmao:

I knew it was going to be Jesse when he gave her the mushy "memory" book. I thought that was more reminiscent of Ryan's poetry than Jason's board game.

I wonder what kind of haircut De's father is going to have Jesse get. "I'll even go to a barber with you." :rotfl: :rotfl:

troobabiee7 - too funny! :rotfl:

But, seriously, have you ever seen SO much crying on this show, from the guys, no less?
