I love watching Caitlin Doughty AKA Ask a Mortician. She is so funny and really helps to give you a demystified take on death.
If you have never watched her, trust me she makes death just a part of life and her series is wildly popular. Lots and Lots of history and odd facts about the famous ......most of it has nothing to do with funeral business.

My dad died suddenly and unexpectedly last year. I’m struggling with his death - do you think this is something that would be helpful/healing or something I should avoid? I’m intrigued…

She does a lot of different types of videos. I found her through three Disney themed videos she posted covering things like Walt’s preoccupation with dead parents in his movies. Some of the videos are matter of fact as to what happens during and after death, and funeral info. Others are about different cultural death processes. She has a very dry wit, and a matter of fact way of presenting things. You could look at her channel and select a topic that might not be traumatic for you. She has the most soothing voice . . .

She helped both myself and a good friend when we lost our mothers but to be sure we had been watching her before our parents died. I don't know if watching her videos would be helpful to you but depending on the topic you might find her entertaining. She also has done a variety of interviews and a Ted Talk available on You Tube. There are some that may be graphic for you so maybe you would like to watch the Ted Talk first and see if you like her, She is very unconventional.
