Anyone else waiting out Airfare prices?

In acouple of posts up they explain it resally well. You would go thriugh kyak.com, search airtran, list the entire number of passengers, type in 4 of the codes, and then start all over for the return flight. By doing oneway instead of roundtrip allows for free coach seat assignments. Hope this helped

When I am doing the actual booking am I on Air Tran's website? Only asking because i was going to do "BILL ME LATER'. Thanks for being so helpful. I am now on the last leg of my planning. ( always a bit sad)

We are going October 22-29 and I have everything in place- EXCEPT- airline tixs. Still looking for a good price. Am I making a big mistake? Southwest keeps dinging me -- but never for my city. Whats the general opinion.?Lowest I have right now is $79. each way from Air tran, ( but you have to pay $12. each to book adv. seating and also pay for bags. I am so weiry to wait but also don't want to miss a big deal down the road. Need someone to push me over the edge! Thanks to all

I checked flights out of Philly today on SWA and you can get flights on Oct 22 for $79 (one stop) or $99 (non-stop) and $79 (non-stop) coming back on Oct 29. And, there aren't any baggage fees. I'd book those flights and if a cheaper flight becomes available on SWA, it's easy to cancel and rebook at the cheaper fares. Don't wait too long - you're getting close!

I almost waited, but I got $63 rates through Airtran one way, so I booked with the coupons. Thank goodness I did, because the flight down is now up to $79, and the one coming home is up to $120!!!

I'm still waiting too. We're going Oct. 25-31. I've been watching the DING fares like a hawk. I have our tickets for our flight home, but haven't booked them to get down there. The cheapest I've seen is on Southwest for $78. If I don't see something soon, then I'm just going to book the flight for $78.

I've been watching for a long time for same time frame (10/24 - 11/2) Our dates were flexible on either side of 10/25-11/1 and I got the above dates and 79/each way southwest. figure i'm saving the baggage and with 5 of us in seats, we'll be good w/checking all the extras w/an infant & toddler. so with all fees it was 896 for 5 of us.

Just an update.......

I received a Southwest 20% off coupon from one of the other fabulous DISer's on here!!! So I was able to book our trip down to WDW for $63!!!

I want to say Thank You to all who posted in this thread; because of the savings you clued me into I'm going back to the World this year!
I am truly grateful to be involved in a community with such nice people who are willing to share their knowledge.
I was able to get 10 vouchers on Airtran then booked thru Kayak.com to get my roundtrip flights (booked one way at a time) for $143.20 inc. taxes and seat assignments! That's a $350 savings for the 5 people traveling!

You all amaze me!
