Anyone else unable to get onto AOL?

Since yesterday, I've been unable to log on to AOL. I've tried on my desktop and on my laptop. I've tried directly through AOL and on the web at aol.com. Nothing is working. Is it just me?

I wonder what would cause that. It can't be a software issue because I've tried on 2 different computers, one Mac and one PC. I guess it could somehow have something to do with my connection, but I'm surfing the web just fine and having no problem accessing any other sites. But if I try to go to aol.com, I get "The page can not be displayed" error. Very strange.

I don't think he's using it as an ISP, but as an e-mail client. I've used it primarily for e-mail for years now, and still like the simplicity of the e-mail GUI.

I couldn't get on AOL Wed-Sat. Finally last night it started working again. So it wasn't just you.

i think its to do with a norton update thats what it says on my welcome page we use avg not norton

During my LONG drive home yesterday, we were listening to a computer expert on talk radio. She said any recent AOL problems logging in, are due to Norton updates.

Interesting--Norton installed an update on my system maybe a week or two ago, and I haven't ahd any problems. Good information though in case I do!

Thanks everyone. I figured it had to be a system problem. I don't have Norton on either computer so not sure how that is affecting me or what will resolve it. I hope it straightens out soon. I'd like my e-mail. I'll try from work tomorrow.

I wasn't able to get on AOl for 2 days. I fianlly had to call and they walked me through all these steps only to tell me to delete AOL from my computer and reinstall and that worked. There was a problen with norton and alot of computers got messed up. I don't use Norton but it is on my computer so i had to turn that off too.

I've had issues with aol the past few days too. On my main account, I could get my email and had no problems. Would transfer over to my other email account and I would get there and be unable to check my email, would come up blank even though it said I had mail. So then I would transfer back to my account and when I got on there my account would totally freeze and had to close out aol and resign on. It's still doing it though... but i'm able to go to aol webpage to check the email that way.
