I am doing The Abs diet and I am just wondering if anyone else is or has tried it and what they think about it. I would also like some recipe and snack ideas if available. Thanks!

I've done the Abs Diet. Enjoyed it for a while, then fell off. The beans kind of get to you after a while. Hopefully they won't bother you. The diet did keep me from having sweet cravings! That part was wonderful. My family & I have been eating turkey meat for a while now (no hamburger except for special occasion burger out). Have great turkey veggie soup that fits on Abs diet. All in all, not a bad diet....actually I liked it better than most.

Abs diet is basically the 12 power foods. To me it seems like just eating healthy and watching your portions. Right now my typical menu would be:

Breakfast: plain oatmeal made with skim milk, with banana and nuts (usually pecans) and a low fat yogurt. OR Whole wheat toast with natural peanut butter and just a tiny bit of jam

Lunch: Grilled chicken breast wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with one slice of swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and grainy mustard. Cottage cheese and carrot sticks.

Dinner: Whole wheat pasta with marinara (look for one without high fructose corn syrup) OR Grilled fish with brown rice OR Grilled Chiken with a sweet potato topped with raisins and pecans.

Snacks: Low fat Fig newtons, Yogurt, Skim milk string cheese, any fruits, any veggies.

I also drink V8 often, I use it as a snack or a quick lunch on the go.

It is pretty easy to do and I find that I am full half way through my meals. I was surprised last night when I was full and stopped eating during my meal. I put the remainder away and ate it for lunch today!

I just read about this tonight in an Abs magazine that I bought. They had a 7 day meal plan but I think I am going to have to cut down on some of the food because there is no way I could eat that much in one day. I do really hard workouts that include 90 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weight training 5 days a week so I am hoping that the Abs diet will help me lose my belly fat. Can't hurt to try.
