Anyone else this obsessed?

An intervention probably needs to be held for me. I think of Disney WAYYYY too much. I don't think this is really normal... but then who wants to be normal?:rotfl:

Hey, the way I think about it is this. How can we really be faulted for thinking of "The Happiest Place on Earth" 24/7? I think it's the REST of the world that's crazy!

i started my count at 110. i warned my friends i would be speaking of it almost every day. 7 days left and they are ready to strangle me. been listening to disney music, and my bro says im sick. I said "but most of the people on the DIS do!" and he said "so you're all sick!" heh. i guess we are but its ok!!!

Yes ! I can hardly wait for Sept to roll around. I don't know how I will ever wait until Sept !

I 100% agree with this!! If only the non Disney "freaks" only knew what they were missing. :upsidedow

We do the same thing and we have over 10 months before we go back! We play the "if we were at WDW right now what would we be doing" game.

I have 47 days until our first trip!! My husband and kids say I can't go an hour without saying Disney!! They are right! I tell people in the grocery store I am going I tell people who call to sell me something I am going I can't get Disney out of my mind! I have three huge events to get done My husbands 40th party, my daughters graduation and my neices wedding and then I will be at Disney World!!!

Oh, I definitely have the Disney bug over here! So, does my DH. We went to WDW last July and almost immediately began planning our December 2007 trip. :woohoo: We not only think about Disney all the time, but we have Disney items decorating our bedroom, our kitchen, our home office, our living room and in my case, my classroom. I even have "When You Wish Upon a Star" as my ringtone on my cell, which by the way has an I Love Mickey cover on it. We buy every book about WDW whenever new ones come out and we discuss it constantly. We even have those Travel channel episodes about Disney recorded, so we can watch them when we need another fix. LOL

Obesses? Nah! :rotfl:

I think I have all of you beat right now. Look at my ticker! I listen to Wishes, Spectro, Illuminations and the Official Park album EVERYDAY at work. It is all I think about. I even already have a coutdown chart made. I made it with 1197 squares on it and started coloring them in each day that goes by. Only 1184 days to go.:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Part of the fun of Disney magic is in the planning and research. I know I get some odd looks from people when I go off on one of my Disney tangents...:goodvibes but it's all good.

Each trip is special in it's own way. A Christmas trip is different than a September trip. And a trip with adults is not the same than with the kids.
And all trips are magicpixiedust:

Glad to see I am in good company! :cool1:

I have been taking a pic daily of my kids removing a Mickey head from the countdown calendar and posting in my pre-trippie (see link below). I bought TGM and the Passporter. I bought the UG too but gave it away because TGM and the Passporter seemed to cover it pretty well. I am about to buy RideMax for WDW even. I have watched the DVD so many times that even the kids are sick of it. :rotfl2:

I'm exactley like that. I can't get enough of Disney World. I book my trip several months in advance and talk about it every day. I drive everyone crazy with my Disney obsession.

My sister-in-law is coming with us this year and when I talk about it so far in advance she thinks I'm crazy. My friends call me Mr. Disney and whenever someone needs Disney info, they know I'm the guy to turn to.

Disney obsessed and proud of it.:thumbsup2

I am moderately to majorly obsessed. I think at some point in the future, I will probably have to name a pet Disney just so I get to say the word everyday without my DH rolling his eyes at me. We just went to see PoTC 3 and I had to squeal "YAY" and clap when they show the castle at the beginning and at the end, again with my DH rolling his eyes at me. I always see posts about how to get over your post-trip depression. My new way is to decorate our newly finished basement with a Disney theme. The bar will be a PoTC theme. It will be like going to WDW every time I go down there! And my other way is to brainwash my kids into being just as obsessed as I am. Then I always have someone to talk to.

That's what I did. I have one child she is 12 and thank God she loves Disney as much as me. My wife likes it, but not as much as us. We are going this August for 11 days and me and my daughter can't stop talking about it and watching the videos and looking at the Birnbaum planning guide.

I created a Disney monster. I hope when she gets married many years in the future :rolleyes1 she finds a Disney guy just like her dad.

oh I definitely have the obsession as well. I go with 2 friends every september and we get together every sunday to talk about the trip in detail and to watch a disney movie. just yesterday one of my friends text messaged me with "93 days!" and that was it :goodvibes We are crazy for Disney and love everything about it!!!

DH and I went to WDW in Sept. 06 (our 7th or 8th trip) When we got back I knew it would be a while before we returned. Then DH came up with a trip to Fort Myers Beach. Sounds like a great place (but its not Disney.) So we are going there in Oct. I was really bummed not knowing when we'd get back to WDW. So last winter I told him that I wanted to go back to WDW in 2008. We talked about the Fall because that's the time of year that we usually go.

I felt much better just having a return date. Then I started reading the Disboards again (I had been too depressed) and became interested in the month of May. So I asked DH to consider going in May 2008. At first he seemed to have a problem with it so I let him off the hook and said we could just wait til Oct. like we had originally planned.

Next thing I know he is looking at the availability of rewards flights for May and suggesting that we go talk to a AAA agent for info. Its not yet a done deal but it is looking good. YEA!!! So now 10 months out I'm making a list of restaurants. We'll be on the dining plan and stay 10 nights! I think that probably qualifies as obsessed.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have to admit that I too am so over obsessed with Disney that my family thinks I am crazy. We are going in July but my DD can't go so I booked a trip for just me and her in Sept and then decided I have to go for my birthday in Jan (since I have done that already 2 years in a row). So I just booked a Jan trip too but now have to figure out how to tell my DH that I just booked our 4th trip since we were there this past Jan. I can't help it! I figure if I go every 4 months or so than I won't be soooo sad when I am not there. Yea I think I have a problem......:cheer2: :yay:  :cool1: :rotfl: :)

I am glad I'm not alone. I know I am a WDW freak. So much worse than my kids or anyone else I've ever met.

So what is the best way to relive the magic? I've been looking at the "relive the magic" website that sells the dvd's. Anyone have them? Are they worth the money.

I also want a cool WDW poster for my office, but can't find one. Anybody have any ideas

My DH and I will be going for the first time during Christmas, too. We thought the same thing. . .it will be like we're going for the first time. My actual first time, I was a little girl with my family. My DH's first time was in 2002, with me. Now, it will be like he and I are experiencing Disney for the first time, together!!! How neat is that?

We hope to go on the WDW cruise in 2009. What was it like? We love cruising and love Disney, so what a great concept! :cool1:

I read books about Disney, I watch recordings of the Travel channel's episodes on the parks, go on the boards. . .anything that will remind me of the magic. I've also gotten the free DVDs to watch. :goodvibes
