Anyone else think there will be no "free dining" for september?

We have stayed onsite for the last 6 years. Every year we have gotten multiple codes. This year nothing. I have already booked the dolphin hotel at a great rate but I do love having the ddp, which the dolphin does not offer. I think disney has alot of changes going on and I just feel that they are not going to offer free dining. Anyone think the same?

They have already offered free dining for September to Canadians AND as a bounceback offer. I would expect a general public offer to come out as well. It will likely be the next released promo after the current one expires.:thumbsup2

I completely agree with every word she just said! pirate:

For the last 8 years they have offered a Free Dining discount in September, the height of hurricane season. September is still hurricane season, and a low crowd season, so they will be wanting to fill those resort rooms. The August/September free dining discount should be released in the next 6 to 8 weeks, just as it has for the last 7 years.

The only reason I am weary is because of the new Fantasyland expansion. I'm not sure if that expansion will bring in the crowds???

We shall see!

Just curious - if there is a Free Dining offer for the general public, will Canadians still be able to take advantage of it? I missed out on booking the first time :sad1:

I also think they'll have FD as well as at least room-only promos. September is the least travelled time at WDW. It's right when school starts and before F&W fest begins. FD is, IMO, their most popular promotion and I can't see it being dropped this year. The economy is still recovering also and that factors in to how people spend their discretionary income. Disney wants that income!

When does the current one expire?

The only public offer on the Disney website currently is for 30% off for Canadian guests. And must be booked by March 31st.

Numerous PIN offers out there must be booked by the end of February.

I'll be surprised if they don't offer it. Remember, they were offering free dining even before the economic downturn. It has never been a high crowd time period. That said, I am sure, based on the PINS that have been sent, it will be quick service for moderates and values.

This will be my 5th year in a row going and I've only ever gotten 1 PIN, which I added to my vacation, only to have them release FD afterwards.

Even if it's just QS that's still a significant savings (over $1k for 5 days for our fam of 5), and I believe you can then jsut upgrade to the Reg DDP and pay the difference. I'll take this

A friend just booked for end of April beginning of May. The castmember said an offer is coming out March First. I'm hoping it includes FD for the end of Aug beginning of Sept. They've offered fd for this period for the last several years. I don't know what the offer actually is though

I completely agree with PP that QS is a significant savings that I would be more than happy receiving!!! However, just a note that last year my family received a PIN for free regular dining at the Deluxes and free quick serve at the moderates and values. We booked the vacation at the Polynesian because we had always wanted to stay there and plus we'd get the better plan. Well, two weeks later the fall 2011/winter 2012 offers came out and it was free regular dining at deluxes and moderates! We went ahead and stayed at the Polynesian, but we could have switched the ressie to a moderate at that time. So, my point is that the offers don't always mimick the PINs, and so we can all still hope for regular dining at the moderates (I guess while we are hoping, we can also hope for the values, too!)

I received a pin in October2011. I was able to book por sept 29-oct5 2012 with free quick service dining. I upgraded to regular dining. But I think free dining will be back for the fall. It is just too early. In the past, sept free dining was announced in april. good luck!
