Anyone else taking a roadtrip over long Thanksgiving weekend?

We drive every year from here (near D.C.) to my FIL's in Ohio.

The problem is that my birthday is Nov 26th. This year, it's on Thanksgiving, but usually it's a day before, after, etc. So I've spent almost every birthday for the past few years at my in-laws or in the car for 5-6 hours. I think I deserve a do-over birthday, but DH never agrees!:lmao:

I'm in the same exact birthday boat as you! And I don't like Turkey.
We usually travel to see family in NJ or SC and it our car rides are typically either 10 hrs w/the NJ trip and 12 hrs. with the SC trip. No birthday do-overs for me either. ;)

Yay for Turkey Birthdays! (or not.) Also, Go Buckeyes!!!! (I'm from Dayton, and DH and I both went to OSU)

Not a "road trip" however we are going to be dropping in on my dh's dd's family in IL and then we are going to join up with my family in MO.

I don't know what we are doing for Thanksgiving yet. I keep waiting for DH to call his mom to see if she is having anything or not but, as typical form for his family, he probably won't call until the day before and find out that there isn't anything so then I scramble to get a turkey, etc. :lmao:

Yep. Driving about 8 hours from Philly burbs to Cleveland burbs. Five of us going. We, too, will return late Saturday so we have Sunday to recouperate and NOT be driving.

We usually eat and have a family football game outside, or something like that on Thanksgiving. Friday we sometimes try to take advantage of some of the sales on Black Friday. (Not crazy shopping, we just wander over if we see something in the circular.) Other than that, we just "hang". It's fun cuz there's a house FULL. Always games to play and stuff to do. And, of course, lots of food!!

We're driving to Orlando for Thanksgiving.....about 7.5 hours.

We are traveling, but not to family or friends. We are traveling to Olathe to pick out an apartment and visit the city before my husband starts his new job the second week of December. Our DS gets out of school Friday before, so we will leave then, drive 12 hours, and stay until Tuesday when we will head back to have thanksgiving with our families starting on Wednesday night.

DD, age 28 is 8 months pregnant, so we're traveling from Indiana to New Hampshire to visit her. Will leave Wednesday evening, drive as far as we feel like, then arrive Thursday in time for dinner. Visit, and no doubt shop on Friday and Saturday, leaving Saturday evening and getting back home on Sunday.
Sounds like we'll be passing some of you on I-90 so look for us, we'll have our headlights on. ;);)

Happy Holidays and drive safely!
