Anyone else surprised there was no discounts this am?

I went to the Disney website and under special offers there is nothing. I also went to the Disney Visa site and nothing! The good news is that there is still hope!! It is early yet.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you have to take a website down to update content...I do some web stuff at work, and the new info just updates when you refresh the page.

I think its just down because so many people are checking it today, it probably crashed!

Not that I'm not looking forward to an announcement just as much as everyone else!!!!

Well, I'm more than a little disappointed. At 6am the Disney site was up but still showing the old discounts that expired yesterday.

By 7am the site had changed. The old disounts were gone and I started to get really excited

...only to click around and discover nothing but package descriptions for different budgets.

Maybe tomorrow...

I have to leave my house at 5 AM tomorrow, and will not be home till after midnight to go to my aunt's funeral. If they don't release today, I will be thinking about what is going on here instead of my poor, dear old auntie! I have no computer access away from home! I'm going to hell for sure.

It's the Chase.com site in general that is down when you go to log in. I dont think it has anythign to do with DIsney in particiular...

I for one and am glad no discounts on the weekend. I have on many occassions called disney on a weekend and I KNOW I am being rerouted. In fairness, once it was 4th ofJuly - holiday - and I know they offshore the calls. I can tell in a minute by the click, long delay and the accent. I prefer the sharp CMs on weekdays....I really think the weekend crew is if not offshore, not as sharp as the weekday people.

No, I'm not surprised. Everyone's been speculating for months that the Disney Visa Deal will come out on Monday, March 29, that's tomorrow. I'll be surprised if it's not out tomorrow.

I'm not surprised at all. Disney brought their site down to remove the expired deals. The always have at least a day or two before they bring it down to add the new deals. (Hoping for their site to go down tonight, actually)

They wouldn't release them on Sunday anyway. Look for something somewhere (disney visa probably) tomorrow morning and the public should be later this week.

I heard that new specials will be announced tomorrow. A friend that works for AAA received the announcements on Fri, but isn't allowed to release them to the public to Mon.

and, if I read my calendar right, it looks like the Disney Visa promotion was released on a Monday in both 2009 & 2008 - with the offer to the general public appearing the following Thursday.

I am agreeing with Monday for the release (Thank God I am off of work tomorrow). A friend from work booked with The Mouse for Less and her agent told her that they would be receiving the new discounts on the 28th, but she didn't know what they would be. It would only make sense that the agents would get them the day before or so, so that they can sort out which client needs which code.

Regardless, I booked Thursday with Disney Travel Company so I could get started, booked my ADRs this morning at 6am , now I am just obsessively watching for Free Dining .

Not really I read in another post that someone called Disney and were told they do not normally release special offers on the weekend so I was pretty aware I'd be waiting till Monday.
