Our company has left, Ive cleaned up and the kids are in bed. Im exhausted and dying to go to sleep. Under normal circumstances I would have been in bed for 3 hours already. However, Cameron is so wound up, hes not sleeping! Santa obviously cant come until Cam goes to sleep. Im dying over here!!!! Someone keep me awake...or better yet, make Cameron go to sleep!

I just got unstuck. Both kids are in bed now.

My DD was also soooooo wound up she could not settle herself down to sleep. My DH finally succeded, but put himself to sleep in the process and now I have no Santa's helper!!!!

I'll forgive him though, he's been cooking all day in preperation for our feast tomorrow with both families coming over. His main course - Turduken! The thing is so huge we could feed the neighborhood.

Merry Chirstmas to all!!

Cam,

Hey Cam, shhhhhhh. You need to chill a bit, so you can sleep, so Santa can come and bring your presents. Shhhhhhh. I would be rubbing my son's back if he were still up. But Ian has been sleeping for about 2 hours now.

Off to dreamland for you, little man.

Debster

PS--Katie, how was that??? Helping?

Is anyone still up?

My household is finally asleep, and I'm getting ready to fill the stockings.

Only had one item, the Bitty Baby Twins stroller, that needed a bit of assembling. I groaned when I first took it out of the box, and lots of little pieces fell out, but it turned out to be fairly easy! DH retired from assembling anything since the Christmas long ago, when we were first seriously dating, and he put together a Little Tykes basketball hoop for the boys and put it on backwards! It got stuck like that....we had to take it back to the store and get another one the day after Christmas. He's never lived it down!

Anyone else taking a break from their Santa chores to DIS? :) :)

I'm still waiting for the last one (my DS6) to fall asleep. Spent Christmas Eve at Grandma's (MIL) tonight and she apparantly thought that Mountain Dew for a 6 year old was a good idea:eek:
My DH is also alseep......right in the middle of the living room floor. No Santa's helper for me tonight..........I'll just step around him to get to the tree & wake him to go to bed when I'm done.

DD got to open one present tonight and of course it was her Disney Trivia game, so we having been playing all evening. She just went to bed so i will be up a little while to play santa.
But hopefully she will go to sleep really fast, because I am beat and I know she will be up bright and early.

Sorry, Kim...I'll whisper it next time! ;) ;)

And I'm fearful it might be the last "baby doll" Christmas for us, so I'm gonna enjoy it! :)

I said to DH last night that now that DS is older all we have to do is tell him to go to bed. Last night was an early bedtime for DS on a non-school night - 9pm. The stockings were filled (and hidden) before he went to bed. As soon as I shut his bedroom door out came the stockings and presents. I was in bed 5mins later. It helps when you dont need to sneak.
