Anyone else still waiting on their W-2s?

Our company has not sent them out. As the CFO here, I can tell you that year end involves more than printing and mailing papers to emplyees. Nothing gets mailed until everything is verified. Even after that, it takes quite a chunk of time to sort, stuff and run postage on 6000 W-2's.

We always mail on the last day of January, whether they are ready early or not. If we were to mail them early, next year everyone would be calling the payroll dept looking for them before the due date, which causes more work by having to field the calls.

Yep and there were only 6 employees there!! And I no longer work for them so I'm waiting and hoping they don't "forget" to send it out (I can see that happening to be honest).

I'm giving them a week for it to come in the mail before I call start bugging them about it. We have everything else so this is the only hold. I understand they have until the 31st but I guess when DH's company has thousands of employess and we got his over a week ago and my company had 6 and I still don't have mine I wonder what's going on over there. :confused3

lol, just called H & R block to get my appointment, still waiting on mine, but got everything else needed! Putting it all together as I type! Mine were sent out, should be here soon!

Maybe their annual W-2's don't tie to the 4 quarterly reports that were submitted? There are all kinds of reasons why an employer, even with only 6 employees, may not have them ready. As long as they are postmarked by Jan 31, they are compliant.

Post date must be the last day of the month or earlier.....lots of us are still waiting.

I "was" waiting for bank info, but it came today, so I can file as soon as I get my butt in gear.. LOL..:goodvibes

i have my 1099 (i'm an IC) and we've got our property tax and mortgage interest info, but we're still waiting on DH's W2 and our 1099 from our credit union. DH got 6 weeks of unemployment last year-not sure how that works out.

My workplace announced that they won't be mailing them until February 1. I haven't seen a sign of DH's either. Plus we're still waiting on a few for dividends and one with a interest on mortgage report.

Sigh... I'd like to get it done.

Me too. My employer NEVER sends them out till the end of January. And we're not talking a mom-n-pop store but a large international company. I wish they would do it faster but I know it ain't gonna happen.

No, we got out W-2's with out first paycheck of the year. I am, however, waiting on a 1099 from one of my accounts and that is the only thing keeping me from filing.

I'm always amazed when people start posting about their refunds. It always takes us until into February to get all our info.

Received W2 today. Taxes e-filed tonight.

My W-2 goes out with our last paycheck of the month so I will get it at the end of the week. We are still in need of several 1099's that will get mailed out at the end of the month like always. I have a pretty good idea what is on everything so I have everything entered into Turbo Tax and just need to verify all the numbers when the official documents come in. We have our first child going off to college this year so I want to get all the financial aid forms sent off (well I sent them off with the "will file" status-I want to get the numbers to "filed" though).

No W-2 yet from DH's job. Also won't get our 1098-T form until after Feb. 1.

DH works for a major financial services company (for 20 years), and we get it last minute. He has started our taxes, and based his income on his last paycheck (virtual), and will finish when he gets it. We always get money back, so we file ASAP.

I also worked for an international company as well. But I already know that my W2 won't be postmarked until the 31st. It was the same with a major company I worked with prior to this last one.

We're waiting mostly on mine to come in but also two tax deductable places as well (one of which I already went online to get).

ETA: Looks like I was wrong as to when I'll get my W2. Just got it in the mail today :woohoo:! This is the first time we have received W2's prior to February and the first time we can make an appointment early to have our taxes done! I love it!

We always receive DH's W-2 the last few days of January, and various other forms continue coming in through the first week of February.
