Anyone else still have school part of this week?

I'm amazed at the number of schools that don't get 2 full weeks off. We have always had a Winter Break with 2 weeks off around the holidays. Do some of your school districts take a week in February?

We have school through Thursday and go back on January 9.
We start the Wed after Labor Day, have a couple days off for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, 2 days off for Teachers Convention in Nov, 2 days off for T'giving, a week at Christmas, a week in February, MLK, 2 days the last week of April, Memorial Day and we get out the last week of June.
180 days. The calendar originally was 2 days off in Feb and a week in April, but they changed it in September-citing rising heating costs and flu season.
No one here ever has off 2 weeks for Christmas Break, I've never even heard of it before reading it here.

Our school breaks up tomorrow (I leave for WDW at 4am on Wednesday!) and we go back on the 4th Jan (I arrive back in England on the 3rd!)

Our school in in session until Wednesday; as a matter of fact the kids are taking midterms right now.

I remember well how much I loved the long breaks I got in college. They were badly needed!

We have school all week, with a half day Friday. Then we are off until January 3rd. Friday can't get here fast enough.

Every day but Friday - return on Jan 3rd.

Our kids have a full week of school here. They have all of next week off and go back on Jan. 3. We do have a week in February also.

My school has exams tomorrow through THURSDAY. We are almost the worst around--Toledo City goes through Friday--YUK! I remember watching Frosty on TV and thinking "who is in school on Christmas Eve?" Well, we almost are!

I have to go to school for the rest of the week. :guilty: And only friday is a half day. My school stinks lol

My kids are off already until Jan 3...their last day was this past Friday

We have school until Thursday...then no school until Jan. 9th. I can't wait. The kids are in that "anticipation of Christmas" mode. But it's a fun time of year.

We only have about 1 week off. Our last day is Thursday, as I said before and we go back Jan. 2. It seems to get shorter and shorter every year. For the past couple of years, our last day is the 23 and we go back the 2. Stupid school. GGGRRR. And no, we do not take a week in February. Our band does get a week off in February, though, to go to Disney, but everyone else has to go to school and we have to make it up.

Our vacation starts this Friday & we return on Jan. 3.

We never get long breaks.
No week off in Feb. or any other time.

At Easter, we get Thur, Fri, & Monday off.

Last full day is Wednesday and they go back on Monday, Jan. 2nd. :sad2: Only 7 school days off this year instead of the usual 10.

But for our DD, tomorrow is her last day. We leave for WDW Wednesday morning!

We are in school until Thursday and then we are off until Jan.9 :cool1: :cool1:

We have school until Friday here then they are off until the 3rd. Then they get a week in Feb and a week in April. I am so glad they don't get 2 weeks now...to much to get done without having her off this whole week!

DS has 1/2 day today. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. These kids get way too much time off! We didn't have this much time. LOL!
