Our school still goes today and tomorrow!! It's hard for me and youngest DS to get up and get ready when college son is sleeping soundly in his bed!!

Our kids have school every day this week. Their break starts on Saturday and they go back on the 3rd of Jan.

part of the week???? Around here we go straight through Friday...friday at 320 they start their "holiday break"...politically correct term!

Same goes for our school - but if we don't have a snow day this week, they get off Friday. Well - and if we don't get any more bomb threats at the HS, either. HS had two last week - and the students were evacuated to sit in the MS gym all day long on both days.

My kids have school everyday this week....with Friday being a half day, than their Winter Break starting. They go back to school on january 3rd.

that's what we have here too

Normally Friday would have been our last day. This year we go today and tomorrow. I've already have several kids tell me that they won't be there. It makes no sense. :confused3

I know that in our area with a high population of people from Mexico many have already started on the road.

And yes, although I should be in the shower I am stalling. :teeth:

We go until 3:26 Friday and head back Jan. 3rd.

Same here, cept we have a half day on Friday. In our district, there are only 2 half days the entire year. One is the day before Christmas break and the other is the last day of school.

My brother's kids (live in the Lancaster PA area) have a half day every other Wednesday.

Personally, I like that they got to school right up to Christmas Eve day, it is SO much easier at home. I know when they have had days off before Christmas it has been hard with the constant, "can't we just open ONE gift" going all the time :rotfl2: . Also, it gives me more time to get my last minute stuff done, like buying stocking stuffers, without kids around.

My kids have Friday off this week- then I believe they go back January 3rd... but I'll have to look into that further. I'd just assume they went all week- I have LOTS to do!

My DS is only in preschool, but he goes today and Wednesday, then off until I think the 4th. He only goes 3 mornings a week though.

My kids will be in school all of this week, with a half day on Friday, then back on Jan. 3.

DD and DS have no school on Friday. They haved full days up til then. I am so happy about that as I have wrapping to do and can do it while DD is in school.

DS has full days today, tomorrow and Wednesday. Thursday is a half day, and there is no school on Friday. Normally he comes to work with me on Christmas Eve, but because the no school day is the day before Christmas Eve, our Y after care program extends it's hours, and he'll go there. Way better, they play Basketball in the gym, go swimming, and do cool stuff.

Our kids go Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. We originally had off Thursday but it was a built in "inclament weather make-up day" and we had a snow day a few weeks ago.

My kids have school until Wed, a half day. Then they get until Jan 10th off... seems like a long break this year!
