I hate cleaning, I despise spending my very minimal free time sweating over bleach and papertowels, vacumns, etc. However it seems if I move something or buy some new sheets per say I'll be motivated to clean more so than if I had done nothing new. Anyone else like that?

Today I just could not get myself to pick up around the house, I had a bit of extra free time since I'm out sick today. Then I noticed that I still have a new utility cart that needed to be put together so I did it and then I ended up fixing up the living room. Of course I'm now paying for it since I'm not feeling well already so now I'm worse but atleast I did something...lol.

I've always gone into a super duper cleaning mode anytime I rearrange furniture, etc. Am I weird? :lmao:

I feel your pain. I always feel like if I buy something new it will motivate me. I have lots of stuff to get orginized but I get it home & there it sets. Also I loose alot of stuff so I have to buy more. I could feed an army, but we only have 3 people in the house. My 2 daughters have moved out and both their rooms are storage areas. My husbands garage looks the same. I just figure I am a very creative person who would rather be around people than stay home and clean. Well maybe some day I''ll get around to it. But I'd much rather be traveling.

Are you my twin??!!

I am kind of like that also. Re-arranging the furniture is a great motivator to clean, or like you said, buying something new.

We re-modeled our whole first floor, LR/DR/Kit last year, everything new. When we did that we really streamlined everything and eliminated all the clutter. I have to say that since we did that, the first floor is a joy to clean now, it is so easy to go through and dust, etc. since there is no clutter. For me clutter is the key.

Now we just need to work on our upstairs, the bedroom area, it's clutterville up there!!!

Well I too am a person who hates to clean but I do. Last year I de-cluttered and then Katrina hit and really removed all of my cleaning issues for awhile. :teeth:

Now I am cleaning up on a daily basis so I won't feel so overwhelmed. When we buy something we put it together right away or at least make an effort. ;)
