Adult DD (MM fanatic) received hers in the mail this afternoon (late birthday gift) along with the paint brush and Epic book and hasn't put it down since..LOL..

At this point I think she could give a flying fig if the Christmas tree gets put up this year.. It goes in the living room - and that's the tv that the Wii is hooked up to..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Mickey really is cute..
;)

We got ours yesterday, but it got stashed away with the other presents. We won't see it again for another 23 days.

We got ours a couple of days ago and same deal. Though my husband thought he was being helpful and hid the Disney store package so the kids couldn't find it. It is his Christmas gift and I told him the kids already knew so hiding it from them wouldnt do any good.

I wanted to get it for my kids, as it looked really fun, but I keep reading that there are "camera issues", where sometimes you can''t even see Mickey, or Mickey can't see what he needs to. Nothing bad enough to ruin the game, but bad enough to disappoint.

So far DD hasn't had any issues (yes - she's still in the living room playing with it - LOL), but if she does develop any problems I'll try to remember to update this thread and give folks a "heads up"..:goodvibes

I, too, have read that in the reviews (on Amazon I think). Until I read differently, I will assume it is like the occasional have-to-move-the-view-quickly moments in Mario Galaxy. Pretty sure it's no more than that since the complaints aren't worse than that.

I am hesitating to get this game, though, simply because it isn't on any of the kids' Christmas lists. Hate to spend that much on one item that nobody really wants. Same with Mario Galaxy 2.

I have noticed some camera angle issues, but nothing that has severely impacted the game for me. Like another poster mentioned about Mario, I'd put it on the same level - an annoyance at times, but nothing more.

I love the game so far, it's exceeded my expectations. It's more adult than I thought it would be, and while rated E, it's definitely not a kiddie-type game. I'll also be replaying it again because there are several things I'd like to do differently to see how it impacts the course of the game.

ordered it for DD and it arrived yesterday too...KILLING me to have it hidden away (along with the brush controller and Epic Mickey Hero T-shirt)
Luckily DS has a swim meet tonight so we are not home!

Just a quick update for you..Adult DD was at it till midnight last night - most of the day again today - and playing right now while waiting for a friend that she and my DGD are going out with..

Still no problems - everything working fine..:thumbsup2 She can get frustrated very easily, so either there aren't any issues with her game or she just hasn't run into them yet.. Believe me - if she did, we'd hear it all through the house..LOL..

Second update! Still a-okay!! :goodvibes

Still having a blast with it (DGD has been using it too when she's home) and still no problems.. It looks like lots of fun - love the scenes - and MM of course..;)

Definitely worth the money (she got the paint brush controller and the book too)..:thumbsup2

Any chance that there was a bad batch that went out during the initial shipments/releases? :confused3

Do you need the paint brush controller or can you use the regular one??

No - you don't need the paint brush controller - but according to DD, it's a lot more fun if you have it..:) (Either that or she just wanted it because it was "cute"..;))

Don't need the book either.. It's a fairly thick one - with all sorts of gaming strategies - but just between you & me, I think DD got it just because there's so many neat photos of MM in there..LOL..
:goodvibes

There were no bad batches.

I noticed it specifically in Mickeyjunk Mountain and in Tomorrow City that the camera angles weren't as cooperative as they should be. My husband noticed it as well - it actually bothered him more because he's more of a gamer than I am. Aside from that, which really is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, the game is great!
