Anyone else really pining for a new buyable costume?

I just went to the Emporium to check for any specials (I know it's a Thursday, but it's happened before).


And I saw the HSM costume still in there. Anyone else really tired of the fact that:

1. You can still buy Everest, Baseball, and HSM stuff although we bought hoards of it to trade at a later date?
2. No really awesome costume has come out since Everest?
3. When we finally get a cool costume, it is near to impossible to obtain?

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm pretty fed up with all the "Troys looking for a Gabriella" running around main street in their crazy, spiky haired, madness. I agree with you and thats the reason I'm so looking forward to the Tron costume

Uggh, I totally agree. I bought tons of the Gabriella dress because there was so much build up and excitement for it to come out. I figured I could be trading it and gifting it to begging guests by now. We need something new! A weekend special or something... quest not included.

yeah I got a ton of those outfits and now they're next to worthless. The other day I got what was probably a young child trying to trade with me on one of my sides, since they just started adding stuff and didn't talk or reply to anything I said, so I just gave them a cheerleader outfit for an outfit of clothes that came with their account. I had plenty of them, and even if it wasn't a young child I probably made whoever it was happy.

I really just want actually obtainable pirate clothes. Is that too much to ask?

I completely agree! I bought so so SO many everest costumes, and that they're STILL there for sale is kind of irritating to me. I also wish that the really cool costume they came out with, the Sparrow Suit, was easier to get. Couldn't they at least make the chances of getting one through a code better? *sigh*

New costumes would be great!! They should release at least one a month according to that theme. Then retire it when the month is over...no crazy quests with frantic time limits to obtain it but it would still be valuable once they were no longer sold.

When I had just started vmk I read that the cheerleader/baseball stuff was just for that month so I went crazy with trying to get one of those costumes on the last day of the month thinking they would be gone the next day. I also bought Everest stuff just in hopes that it would be a worthy trade for another costume one day. Now any of those items are just in the regular clothing inventory so boy was I wrong.

It would be easy to find a balance between costumes that are nearly unobtainable (Jack Sparrow anyone?) and releasing items for a limited time to give plenty of people a chance to get them and yet to hold some sort of value later on.

Anyone remember the good days of October 2005? They re-released a bunch of constumes, and released some new ones. Each costume was buyable from the Emporium for 2500 credits for the full costume. They were released for a bout a week and then they went back into retirment. This was done excelently, but it looks like they forgot about how well they had released them back then and have totally screwed it up with these new ones. The point of a costume is for it to be rare clothing, not sutff you can buy any old day.

I hear that! I remember seeing staff wearing it back in dec. And when asking "when are those going to be out" hearing when the new pirate movie is out. Well its been out and still nothing I wonder if they are ever going to release it? I LOVE IT. Maybe i should go ask yavn in the ask yavn one question post.

Yeah, why can't they find a middle ground here? Either the costumes are next to impossible to get, or they're put into the clothing inventory and annoying all the people who stocked up on them! Grr... oh well, that's vmk. Fun game but craaazy stuff.

I saw that on the homepage it said its waterpark month. I saw there was a red cowboy costume. So im hoping that will be coming out soon this month.

As for the HM costume, I am glad it is back on sale. I was away the weekend they were selling them (I always miss the cool stuff... ). But they looked cool and I always wanted one!

Wait... the Haunted Mansion costume is back on sale?

I agree. I love Jack with his jacket and with just the white shirt and bandana. I would love some BellHop costumes of course. Those would be awesome would they not? And Davy Jones. How funny would it be to be walking around with a crab leg and arm, with tenticles hanging from your face?


Back to the BellHop costumes I think i would keel over if that ever happened.
