I booked YC Cl for 6/11 for one week. Based on current general public code this is a 35% discount. Not 40% for staying more than 5 nights - that ended 6/3, this is just 35% off. Fine. I see a nice poster posted the link to theDisney Visa discount which indicates if you stay 5 plus nights you get 40% off. yipee! Savings is savings. I call and CM SOOO nice. She agrees with me though theDisney visa pin is 35% off NOT 40% as email states. Code supplied by Disney visa is QNY - this is 35% off. Anyone else run into this - CM unable to override it of course and didn't knowWHAT do to. Either code is wrong or their system has the wrong value in place.....

I encountered the same problem, and the CM insisted that I have the extra 5% so I just hung up and e-mail Disney about the problem. I am about to called Visa now to ask about the false advertisement. I did not get the extra 5% but did not argue with the CM.

MicandMin would you post the results of your call with Disney Visa? They told me the same thing but my point to them was it is YOUR system. Visa gives a code you tell them to give as YOUR system needs to be upgraded to reflect the code. How on earth could Visa make up a code? Your system needs to reflect the certain percentage.....She agreed but thought maybe visa had a typo in the code....possible...

I just called Visa Rewards, who transferred me Disney Travel and I was disconnected. I need to leave at this time, but as a retired Middle school teacher I will not give up. I will try again later, and let you know what I fined out.

The first CM did tell me the extra 5% code is QOU, but it did not work, and I could not convince him that it was still the original discounted price I did not get the extra 5%. He kept insisting I got the extra 5%.

THanks Mik and Min!!! :) You sound as determined as me. Quirks bug me and I had my calculator out last night with the CM just prove I was NOT crazy!!! thanks for calling Chase and I will look forward to the reply! DH is home working today and has the phone tied up on conference calls..UGH....Else I could have called as well...

The extra 5% code is QOU but it did not work to change the discount price. I will let you know if I find out anything this afternoon.

I have Disney Visa, but I have never received any emails from them about discounts. Are you hearing about these discounts through emails? Thanks!

I found this information yesterday when I logged into my Disney Visa account account clicked on Disney Offers. I was very surprised to see the difference in rates. I too called CS and was declined the 5% discount because they could not find any other code except QNY which pertains to the lesser discount. I called Disney Visa and brought to their attention and requested that their web people review the offer and update the page if it is incorrect. Disney CS and Guest Services would not budge with me without an actual code. They tried to say that I was getting the 35% and 30%. I try not to get offended but simple math is simple math. It is easy to figure the difference between 30% off a rack rate and 35% off a rack rate. If it is a legitimate offer it should be resolved in due time and we will get our correct % discounts. Let's hope for the best!

POR 8/20/2009 to 8/27/2009
GF 6/09/2007 to 6/16/2007
POR 11/03/2006 to 11/10/2006
BW 11/04/2004 to 11/09/2004
POLY 8/06/2004 to 8/16/2004

Exactly Keisia! I mean my math skills can tell the difference and the CM agreed but she was helpless. I am glad you called.hopefully they either update the page or their system but I think they have so many codes going on they dont' know what is 30 vs 35 vs 40 and all the different dates...The CM last night had my promotion all mixed up - she didn't realize the one ended 6/3....Hence she kept insisting I had 40% until we broke out the calculator together...

See here is where the screwup is. Read closely and see the first paragraph. It ends at 6/3 mimicking the old general public code - staying 5 plus nights getting you 40% off. Shows the disney visa promotion code as ending.HOWEVER read the chart attached - that shows the dates going thru 8/14 - like the new promotion but the table wasn't updated at this point to change back to 35% like the old promotion. Does this make sense?

Having the same problem. I'm booked in BLT for 7 days and then Beach Club for 7 days 7/28-8/11. I was aware of the original discounts that were extended thru 8/14, however, they lowered them 5%. When I saw the Visa website I called Disney back tonight to reference it. The cm said that I was getting the 40/45 discount. I also had to whip out my calculator (which she did also) to prove that it was only 35/40 I was getting. She spoke to guest services who said that the website says "for stays most nights" and that's how they get around only offering the 40/45 discount until 6/3 - even though it clearly states : 1/19 - 3/27/10 and 4/11 - 8/14/10.

http://disneyrewards.disney.go.com/offers/wdw25percentjan10.html

I then asked to speak to guest services myself who wanted me to give her the website. She looked at it and said that she would have to research it and get back to me on MONDAY!!! Now, I'm very upset! Not only is this considered false advertising but I now need to wait until Monday to settle this. I may call back tomorrow and speak to someone else. Has anyone else had any luck?

I got the same story as well "the most nights" clause. IRREGARDLESS of that clause the Cm claimed I was already getting40% on my current ressie and clearly I was not. So that arguement was null. Thechart on the disney page is correct - itstates 35% not 40%.So why would the disney visa be able to get around it? Clearly states40%..

The cm I spoke to also was arguing with me that I was indeed getting the 40/45 discount - which we all know is not true. Here's what I wrote on another thread that is about the same topic:

They also told me that "most nights" technically means until June 3rd. Then why even put that the offer goes until 8/14!! It clearly states that the 40/45 discount goes from 4/11-8/14/10. If they want to get "technical" about it - April 11 til June 3rd is 54 days and June 4th til August 14th is 72 days. The "most nights" seems to fall into the June 4-August 14 timeframe. I know 5% is not much of of difference but now it's just the point of it!!! Has anyone ever spoken to a manager at guest services??
