Anyone else re-thinking their fall cruise?

we are in the no plans to change our labor day cruise category. our only deviation from strategy of last year is that we drive to port, instesd of fly, so that we can be more flexible in changing plans, such as postponement to later if necessary. but i feel that this will be a pretty normal year and the cruises won't and florida won't be as affected this year, as last. our only reason for postponing would be if the cruise was shortened like last year, we were there with you jmc, we are not interested in less than a seven day cruise. but as long as we leave the port on time, once we are on the sea i know that it will be all good. dcl did a fairly good job of taking care of those that were inconvenienced last year, and i know that many of those are back scheduled for hurricane season again this year. after the kinks got ironed out for us the first night, we had a good time and good weather.

That is our plan as well. We are going on the DVC Member Cruise which leaves on September 4th. We decided to drive down to have more flexability. We leave on Thursday, arrive at WDW late on Friday. Saturday DVC is throwing a bon voyage party at Pleasure Island and then on Sunday we sail. The cruise gets back Thursday. We have Thursday and Friday booked at WDW and then we go home Saturday. If God forbid a storm hits and delays us we'll just head home when we arrive at port. If we arrive at the port and the weather is looking bad we can opt to leave and head home.

Thanks for all the replys. It does make me feel better knowing that a lot of you have actually experienced or encountered hurricanes and sill aren't concerned.
I live in N. GA, so we don't have to worry about hurricanes, just tornadoes, so of course I'm unfamiliar with the real truth behind them.
Thanks again!

We went on the cruise last September that was affected by the hurricane - we had a few rough hours and we had to dock about 10 hours early but hey they put us up in the Swan & Dolphin and we got 50% off our cruise this year :cheer2: So guess what? We are going again this September!!!

Hi Debbiechelsea! I was on that cruise too. We went last year not knowing what Mother Nature would bring, and we plan to do the same this year! Whenever and where ever the ship sails, I plan to be on it (9/3/05/
