anyone else planning trip for aug 2009

Very cool. This will my first trip since I was 12 and my daughter's first ever. We are both very excited.

We will have to keep in touch and maybe hooked up sometime. How old is your daughter? Mine are 14 and 15. My sister is going and her daughter will turn 8 while we are there. So have you got a lot of planning done? I have got a lot of ideas for the trip and have got some planning done. I am waiting on my sister's family to figure out where they want to eat for sure so when time comes I can make the ADR's. Our last trip in 07 my dad paid for the trip so he made all the plans and we had no itineraries or an plan for each day. We are going to make an itinerary and actually enjoy all (maybe not all but as much as possible in 14 days) that WDW has to offer. I bought a membership to Passporters so I have gotten a lot of info from there and some reading info to help with planning. You also get a lot of info from this site. Enough babbling. I hope to meet you in Aug. :)

We will have to hook up and get the girls together. My girls at the time of the trip will be 16 and the other will turn 15 just after trip. We are going with my sister and her family and a friend that I work with. The 3 of us women are mickey freaks. If you have any planning suggestions please let me know.

My daughter will be 11 in March.

As for itineraries, I booked my trip thru Dreams Unlimited and they're taking care of any ADR's we might want, etc. I've got a few things planned, one of them being the Hoop-Dee Doo Revue the last night we are there. I'm not sure what else I have on the agenda. I'll have to log into it and refresh my memory.

My sister and I are just getting started with which parks, which days, and then we'll figure out ADRs. Do you know when the August park hours will be posted?

Booked bounceback free dining for 8-26 to 9-3. We decided to book Poly as a splurge since we are saving quite a bit with the free dining. It is our first time doing deluxe. We are psyched! The kids can't wait of cours. They want to go down the slide on the volcano pool.;)

I don't know when they will be posted but I wish they would hurry up before Feb so we can plan our days. We are going to do meals with whatever park we do that day.

We will be doing the Hoop Dee Doo revue as well. I booked through AAA so when my sister and her family get their act together I will call my agent and she can take care of the rest.:cool1: We will also be taking a day to go to sea world. My sister and her family are only doing 10days instead of the 14 like my crew is doing. I have never stayed at Pop so I am pretty excited. When we were there in 2007 we stayed at ASMu.

Exactly why we want them to hurry up as well, so we can start our meal planning! :)

This will be our first stay at POP and we are very excited!! The theming looks like so much fun, and we had an upclose view when our CSR bus stopped at POP first during our last trip.

My biggest worry is that my son won't like the pool as much (this is our first time at a value resort) with no slide, but THEN I realized, if he doesn't like the pool as much, it won't be as hard to drag him away from it ;)

I'm also waiting for my 2009 PassPorter to come, which really helps me stay organized.

We will be at Disney August 22nd - August 30th. We are also going on a Disney cruise from August 30th until September 3rd. :cool1: We are so excited!

We went this past August (first week) and thought it was a great time to go. When we got the PIN code I couldn't resist and booked us in again at the Grand Floridian. Unfortunately, we can't go until Aug 23-28 to use the code. Luckily, Labor Day is late next year, so we still have a week to recover before the girls head back to school!!

WELL ONLY 2 MORE MONTHS AND I CAN MAKE OUR ADR'S. IF I CAN GET THE REST OF THE GROUP TO COOPERATE AND LET ME KNOW WHERE THERE WANT TO EAT. :confused3 I AM GETTING SOOOOO EXCITED AND I STILL HAVE 8 MONTHS BEFORE OUR TRIP.

Well I think my group has decided where they want to eat. Only about 2 months and we can make our ADR's. I think we also have our plans made for most of the days but of course things can change. Continue to read books and make plans and then the rest of the group know what I found. Next time I bet they don't put me in charge of making the plans. :lmao:

August 27th-September 4th!!!
Booked bounceback with free dining when we were there last August!
Staying at SSR in a 2bdrm villa:thumbsup2

We took our first family trip to WDW in August 2008. There were seven of us all together, and we stayed at VWL. DS4, and DD13 loved it, and really wanted to return. DW and I decided to take a trip with just the two kids (leaving DD20 behind, as well as my mother, and cousin).

Currently, we are booked for Aug 25 through Sept 5 at POP, though I think I am going to call tomorrow, and see about bumping our check in day to Aug 23rd. I figure we'll get the 10 day tickets, we'll be on property for 12 full days, so that will give us to NON park days to schedule in the middle of the trip for a bit of down time.

Last summer, we were there a bit before the free dining, but I'm hoping that we'll be able to get in on it this summer.

We are going last week of august, into first week of Sept.
How are the CROWDS at that time?.
8/25 - 9/4.

We are now going in August. We were supposed to go in May but had to cancel due to a TDY.

So here's hoping for free dining:banana: A girl can dream right?!!:rotfl2:
