Anyone else offered private viewing for Illuminations 'cause Teppanyaki is closed?

we received a phone call a few minutes ago... the CM said that because Teppanyaki would be closed (due to the over run on refurbishment) she would like to help us make a new ADR and when i told her that thanks to the DISboards i had already rescheduled our ADR, she offered private viewing for the same night for Illuminations across from Rose & Crown... she gave me a confirm number to get us in!

i was wow'd!

....I also heard about it on the boards and had to re-schedule, got a late lunch at San Angel instead of the China place that just didn't work for our family.

thanks, we had rescheduled for san angel also... and ironically when i called to make that ADR i was offered 6:30 or 8pm and reallllly almost took the 8pm, but now i'm glad i didn't or we would not have been able to do the illuminations thing! LOL!

Yes - we were called and told that our reservation for the 24th of August at Teppanyaki was no longer available so we changed to the Rose & Crown. We were also given the special viewing for Illuminations - we have a confirmation number and were told to pick up the tickets at Rose & Crown.

WOW. Wish I had booked Teppanyaki so we could have a special viewing too. If anyone is there Aug 26-29th and doesn't want their special viewing please let me know....I would love to use your confirmation number!

to those that were offered the special viewing... how big was your party? we were reserved for ten... the cm said something about accommodating larger parties, so i was wondering if they were only contacting the bigger groups...

I just called about our 9/20 ADR and ended up with Biergarten, ( I hope we like this ) We also got the illuminations tickets offer. Heres hoping for a magical meal. I just don't know about us and german food. Italian yes, German UHHH...

HURRAY!

I called and spoke to a WONDERFUL CM who checked our reservations and then gave us the private viewing for ILLUMINATIONS
We were also able to change out our "changed" reservation to a different restaurant that better accomodates our family, SPECTACULAR!!

We were called about our 8/21 reservation yesterday and were asked if he could help us find another place for dinner. When I told him we had already made a back up because of the information we had that it wasn't opening on time, he just said "great", we knew more than he did because he had just gotten the word about the postponed opening. Nothing special was offered to us.
Are those who weren't offered anything calling back???

Thanks to this board I called to change my ADR. Figuring I'd never get into anywhere now since restaurants were booking up way back in May when I was making the ADR's, I was shocked they could get us into Le Cellier for 7pm! I was very annoyed on the phone and even commented in a nice tone (but it was sarcastic in my head but it's hard to be annoyed with Disney CS because those people are just so darn pleasant LOL) that I'm glad I'd read about no chance of Teppanyaki being open and the CM went ahead and booked Le Cellier then asked if we were staying for Illuminations and told me about the special viewing area. I asked if the view would be better at that spot than other areas in the park and she said it was the best spot to view the fireworks. We are a party of 5, I know someone asked earlier about party size.
I am disappointed in missing Teppanyaki as I was looking foward to the experience but I think Disney is handling it well by at least making us feel like they understand our disappointment and trying to get us into 2nd or 3rd choice ADR's and also a nice bonus with the special viewing area.

I had a reservation for teppanyaki for sept 18 for myself and dh. Spoke to a wonderful guy on the phone and was able to get a 5:30 reservation for Le Cellier and the private area for Illuminations. So i will be eating at Le Cellier 2x in one week. I am so excited!!! I wasn't told exactly where to go for the viewing, does anyone know how to go about this?

I had ADR for the Sept. 18th. My DSD picked this as her place for dinner. I am still waiting for DU to get back to me about finding something...anything else for us. No phone call. But I am happy for all you guys. I guess we will be eating CS for both our meals that day.

I also called this morning to change our 9/21 ADRs. Was offered Le Cellier but we already have that for another day, and Coral Reef but we weren't interested. Settled on Rose & Crown and got the VIP Illuminations too. I was told the area is between the 2 large gift shops as you enter WS from FW.
