Anyone else notice the missing mickeys wreath at the contemporary??

1. On the Yuletide tour it is explained that most of the decorations have a 4-5 year span life due to wear and tear and other factors.

2. I remember seeing the "Big Mickey being made about 5 years ago. I seem to remember that it is made of 5-8 pieces that fit together.

3. Each resort has to pay for their own decorations which includes design, implementation planning, installation and removal.

CR seems to change their decorations more dramatically than other resorts. My particular favorite was the huge tree they used to suspend from the ceiling on the fourth floor. Then there was the desert theme, with the big balloon and lit up cactus trees. I would guess that something else is in the works. The wreath was in very poor condition last year when I saw it close up, so it quite possibly could have been damaged beyond repair this year.

Personally I miss the big poinsettia tree they used to put up out front. The red really popped against the concrete building.

I'm not generally one to complain much about changes, but I'm sorry to see the wreath go. That is/was one really cool touch for the holidays. :earsboy:
