Anyone else notice the December 6 Target ad?

Just bought $1000 of $25 cards without a problem. Cleaned them out of $25's. I got $100 in Target gift cards which I used to buy 4 more $25 gift cards for no $$. Then I got $10 more in Target gift cards which I haven't decided how to spend yet.

If anyone else has Goplaysave books, I used my $5 off $50 Kroger coupons to buy Target cards, then used those to buy DISNEY cards, for total savings of $20 per $100 AND used my Disney Visa so I am getting that 2% back. I will bring GCs with me and add to my account, giving me a lot of OBC for my cruise on Sunday...where I will be gold for the first time, so I can use that OBC in the gift shop and get another 10% off. Dooney and Bourke here I come !!!!

Does the Disney Visa give 2% back at Target? I thought Chase coded Target as non-grocery, so only earning 1%.

I'm not sure of the % from Disney Visa. But if you use a Target Redcard they give you 5% off you gift card purchases.

I bought the Target gift cards at a grocery store so I get 2% plus 10% with my Goplaysaveand then 10% more when I exchange them at Target for Disney cards

Didn't work out quite as well for me...found the $25 rack but it was empty...went to customer service to see about more or other locations in the store...the manager, very irritated, explained that the offer was only valid online...not in the store...she was sure...argue...argue...so we found an ad and confirmed that it doesn't say online only...but the picture contains only the $50 card so she was QUITE CLEAR (at this point) ONLY those cards in the picture would earn the $5 gift card...yikes...didn't need the stress to save a bit of money (of course the gift card rack had several free $5 gift card signs posted above cards that were not in the picture)

So I bought 4 $50 cards...and learned that the 5% off wouldn't apply exactly to all $200 in cards...I lost 5% of the $10 in Target gift cards...oh well, lost 50 cents....so weird but there is no way I am going to argue now...just wish it had been easier and less stressful

I am sorry you had a grumpy manager. Try another Target. In SoCal we have 6 within a 5 mile range of my house, so its easy to go to a different one. I went to 4 different Targets to get all the $25 cards I needed. You are right about not getting the whole 5%. I just checked my receipt for $500 worth of purchases. They gave me $22.50 credit for the $500 purchase. But upon further checking it is really 5% of $450. They did deduct for the free Target gift cards. Oh well, it is still a good buy for me and I like getting the discount to pay for my cruise.

Thank you to whoever brought this up. I was able to get a whole bunch of $25 cards today at my local Target. Saved me 5% and got lots of $5 gift cards back in return. I just love saving money!
