I usually love Christmas love decorating, baking, everything. This year with an impendng move, I'm just not looking forward to it. I might move a week before Christmas, I just don't know. Could be after the holidays. Just makes makes it hard to plan anything. Normally I would be putting up my Christmas tree next Friday, now I just don't see how I can do it if I might have to take it down a week later.
Also not looking forward to having to spend Christmas at a hotel (no one in the immediate family has room for us to stay with them at the holidays).
Not exactly. We have to go visit my mom and stepfather on Thanksgiving Day. I am not looking forward to having to field questions as to why DS is not exactly walking yet, why he isn't allowed to have soda or juice and why haven't we taken him to McDonald's for his first Happy Meal yet.
Well, there is ONLY one way to fix this and shut them all up. Just show up with your little one in brand new shoes, and a McDonalds happy meal! During dinner, just casually put down a Pepsi in front of him and all will be fine.
This is how I feel. I enjoy the excitement and joy with my kids, but I'm not especially looking forward to it. Not for the reason others have mentioned. Basically, I cringe at all the money we spend. Crap we buy for parents and other adult family members, and the list seems to grow every year. Teachers, work, DD BF, on and on. Then there's all the travel...dealing with my stressed out DW... I could do without all of that.
