Anyone else not like the new look?

I am with the original Poster, I think it is too big, and harder to read. I really
dont like the pop up that show what the full post is before I actually go into
it.

So, we are in the minority, but I have a harder time using it, too.

I didn't like it at first because I'm not always one for change, but it is definitely growing on me. I really do like it now & I love all the new functions. I haven't heard anyone mention that it seems like much smaller type (unless it's just me) & for these 'growing old eyes', it is bit harder to read, but I'll get used to it. I don't understand all of the ways to use it yet, either (like the 'Quick Reply'), but eventually I guess I'll figure it out.

You can change that yourself in the CP user controls...Or at least you should.

Don't see where you can change that?! Looks like everyone is just a registered user now?!

mr tchr, are you trying to get to DIS chat using AOL? AOL doesn't work very well with the bulletin board software, and I don't think chat works at all with AOL. If you minimize your AOL browser and use Internet Explorer instead, I think you'll be able to chat with no problems.

There are a number of issues and kinks and enhancements that still need to be added to the boards. I'm trying to keep a thread updated with the status of those on the Tech Support forum, here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=688297.

The search function (it's not working yet) and new user titles are both high on the list of things that the webmasters are working on now.

I'm enjoying the new look, though I have to admit that I'm still trying to figure out where everything is!

I have noticed that when you have read a thread, then go back to the main disney cruise line page, the thread you just read, turns red. This is just like the old software. But...when you go to another new thread and come out of that, the thread you read before, the text has not changed to indicate you have read the thread, it remains 'bold' until you leave the boards totally. When you return, some of your past read threads are no longer bold, but not always all of them, at least not for me. Has this happened to anyone else, or am I missing something? For me it makes it very hard to know what threads I have looked at and what ones I have not.
Ok..was that as clear a mud or what?
Any comments?

Yes, I know what you mean & yes, I have found that to be the same here.

Does anyone know if there is a place where you can get a 'quick course' on how to use the new/different functions - the ones that are working. Is there anything on the Tech Board?

There is a frequently asked questions or FAQ that you can click on that's at the top that might help answer some board function questions, or if you don't see an answer there look to the Tech forum. KathyTX is also keeping an updated list of the issues with the upgrade there as well.

Havn't seen an exact list per se of what's new from the last version.
