Anyone else not have any trips planned to WDW and..

Kinda sorta...
This last trip in May was tiring (go figure...2 babies, 2 kids, 6 adults). We have the desire to go back in October with just the older 2 only to hit Epcot (we missed out on alot of it this past trip) and 1 day at Typhoon Lagoon, because we've never done a water park. Really, just a quick, run down there, stay a couple days and come back. We haven't made reservations, nothing is in concrete, and we havent told the kids just in case..
But...whether we make that trip or not...we said we weren't going back until the babies are about 3 and 4.. so we got 3 yrs! But..that said, my 20 yr reunion will also be in 2012, and I'd like to go to it in California.. maybe we'll be rich and can swing hitting DL instead :goodvibes

I think, after taking so many trips back to back, the break will make us appreciate it more...

Now for the next question -- where do you go instead? I'm so afraid that my kids (14 and 13) will be bored. We've all become so accustomed to a non-stop type of vacation, that I'm afraid that anything less will be dull.

C.Ann....you speak blasphemy:eek::scared::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint:

just kidding;)

I can't imagine a year without a Disney trip.....we love it too much. We also love cruises and going to Hawaii. We do other stuff too, but we both truly enjoy WDW for more than just the rides.
We love the clean, family feeling vibe that exists at WDW. The clean hotels and good food. We love renting boats and doing all that WDW has to offer.
It truly is a vacation where you dont' have to deal with the every day or real life.
That just doesn't happen anywhere else. Even on our cruises we still see poverty in the islands we visit and other real world reminders. WDW is its own little world of escape....and that is one of the best things about going.:goodvibes

I agree about the 'vibe' I get from Disney.. and.. really, you can go to Orlando time and again and never truly do everything Disney and Orlando has to offer..

We just got back from our fourth annual trip and Dh and the kids want a break next year to go to Europe....But I just want to go back to WDW...:)

We recently got back from our first trip together to Disney World and have no plans to return any time soon either.

We are more people who like variety and enjoy visiting different places for vacation each time. Also, we don't always plan a $$ trip every year and we had saved five years Disney dollars by paying with our Disney visa (and paying it off each month) to help with the cost.

I was about to call up and cancel our Disney visa and switch to a cash program but then DH suggested that we save up for a Disney cruise! That is many years away though.

Still enjoy the budget and community forums on here! Folks are so friendly. :)

We went to san Diego and that might be your style. We went to Sea World, the san Diego zoo, Wild Animal Park (took a special photo safari tour and got to feed giraffes!). we also drove the 60 mile scenic drive and went to see the ocean. It was great and it was our favorite vacation to date!

We also went to South Dakota and that was nice as well. We got to see the Badlands, MT. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and Deadwood (wild west town).

Another trip was also packed we went to Colorado and went to the Rocky Mountain National PArk, toured the Celestial Seasonings Tea Factory, saw Boulder. Then drove south and saw Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods.

I think a trip can be as packed as you make it. I am a super planner so I find lots of activities that I think we will enjoy and fit them into our schedule. Some people don't plan as much and relax more. It's up to you.

We also have done several road trips from our area and have found interesting things to see along the way to keep it fun.

We've been going to WDW 1-2 times a year for the last few years but are kinda Disney'd out right now. We are headed back down in a few weeks for Free Dining right before the kids head back to school BUT we're planning on being less intense about hitting rides/shows than before (and we were never commandos to start). The whole family is much more interested in taking things easy, making our favorite rides/shows, and just relaxing this trip than in the past.

We've also gone on cruises pretty often over the last few years and are just about cruised out too. We have a cruise scheduled for Thanksgiving break but they completely changed the itinerary, which helped us decide to cancel.

As our kids get older (8 and 5 this year), we're starting to think they might be getting closer to being able to do more active family vacations (Europe, Galapagos Islands, Grand Canyon, etc...) than when they were younger. We'll be looking for a vacation for next spring/summer and I'm really not sure what destination we'll end up at.

I took a long break already. My last trip was in 1999. We are going in October this year. I think we are about due for a Disney fix.

Taking a "break"......

Our last trip to WDW was Jan 08. In Jan 09 my daughter and I took a trip to Paris and visited DLP for one day. We both absolutely did NOT like that park at all!!!!

We have gone every year since 1994 to either DL or WDW.......and I don't know what it is.....but something has changed and I don't have any major desire to visit. Maybe the urge will come rushing back............but for now, I have no plans to visit WDW.
