Anyone else not going to WDW for marathon weekend?

Oh, boy! This will be my first marathon weekend in five years that I won't be going to participate or cheer my fellow WISHers on for the half or full and I'm already starting to get antsy.

I won't get to see Judy, Kristi and others participating in their first full. I won't get to see and meet new WISHers doing their first half, full or goofy! I won't get to see Lily and others doing their 6th Goofy!

I knew that I would feel a little left out but not this early.

Anyone else who usually goes sitting out this year?

Of course, I'll be cheering each of you on virtually but I know it won't be the same.

Susie I won't be there either. I am going with DD in December and so another trip 3 weeks later is not prudent. So I have no clue if/when I'll go next year. Maybe Wine & Dine, but if not, then I would like to do Goofy once, so maybe not til 2012.

Susie - I am skipping Marathon Weekend this year, but I am doing the Princess this year. Since one of my friends is also doing the Princess this year I told her I would make the "Ultimate Sacrifice" and do the Coast to Coast Challenge with her!

It is going to seem weird not being there in January, but there are so many other races I want to do.

Looks like I'll get to see you in Kentucky!

I am with you Susie. This will be my first marathon weekend that I missing in 4 years, but I have a good reason, since I am pregnant!

I am a little sad, as I always look forward to seeing everyone, I even considered going down just to scream team, but decided to save the money for next year, so I will be home cheering everyone on from NJ.

I know, my wife keeps asking me "are you sure you're not doing Disney this year?" First time in a while. I might do the Wine and Dine next year though as it looks like fun.

Maura - I've been meaning to tell you....CONGRATULATIONS on getting to run in BOSTON! I am so excited for you! Woohoo! You'll have quite the following here on the WISH boards!

Susan - it looks like we'll be doing TWO non-Disney races together next year -Kentucky and Providence! Good for you for doing the Princess & DL next year. Yep, quite the sacrifice you are making.

Laurie - I am SOOOO out of the loop. CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm planning on going to WDW marathon weekend in 2012. I'll be looking forward to meeting your new little bundle of joy!

Duane - Wine & Dine was fun this year although it was way past my bedtime by the time I finished.

Was there last time, just for the 5k though. I really would've considered going this year for the 1/2 but #1--GOOD GRIEF it was COLD!!! and #2--It's too close to the Princess now that they backed the Princess up a week. Ok, it's just a week, but that was enough to make me have to pick one or the other, so I'm sticking with the Princess.

Susie, I know how you feel. A couple years ago I did the RnR Arizona, which was a week after WDW, so I wasn't in FLA. I felt like I had withdrawal. I missed seeing my new friends and felt guilty for not being there.

I'll see in Providence next year though.

Thanks Susie!!!! We are very excited and can't wait for the baby to be here, and if all goes well, it will be the baby's first trip to WDW for the marathon in 2012...because I won't miss two years in a row!!
