Anyone else not get a name

I signed up at Operation Military Pride (twice) and never received a name It has been almost 2 weeks, should I try again? Has this happened to anyone else?

I saw a note posted there that they were running out of names. I got my name from Annie&HalliesMom. Several DISers are sending packages to TwinMom7's DS and he is sharing. If you'd like to send something to my soldier, just PM me and I'll give you his info.

It's about 3 weeks for me and nothing!

It is great that they are running out of names!! I hope everyone who asked for one is really sending stuff to the person. I am starting my package today and hope to send it out by Wednesday!

I just saw a story on CNN - they were talking with members of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Force, and there was a Marine that said the other guys were sharing because he hadn't received ANY mail at all.

I wish I had his name and address - I'd have something in the mail by tomorrow.

Oh me too, AFR! I wish I had his name. My sister in law was telling me she wanted to send a care package too, so I gave her Carol's email address (with Carol's permission).

I know there are a lot of Marines, sailors and soldiers out there who don't receive mail. Did they have to sign up for Operation Military Pride? I don't know how they could be running out of names for this project unless the military had to sign up for it and didn't do that.

I went to OMP's web-site and they still look like they are taking requests. But I do know of 2 people that haven't heard back in weeks. I e:mailed OMP and asked if they are still taking requests for soldiers to become adopted. My Brownie Troop is making Care Packages next week for a female soldier we adopted through OMP and the local newspaper is coming out to do a story on it . I want to verify this info. so the newspaper can print acurate information. I really hope OMP is still helping soldiers become adopted. It's such a wonderful program!!

I have sent a request three times in the last four weeks but have not heard back from Operation Military Pride. My guess is that they have too many requests. In my community there are several similar projects and I have heard that they also are overwhelmed with donations. It is great to know so many people want to support our troops. Lets hope they all get home soon, a nation awaits them!

I requested another name from OMP 2 weeks ago and recieved my name about a week later. So they are still sending them. Just be patient I guess.
