Maybe we're wierd, but after having gone through two WDW trips eating the disney and maingate area food, the ability to make our own meals was one of the major perks that sold us on the
DVC.
Being DINKS (when wifey-poo has a job) means we can eat out alot (and do) at home. We also have tons of excellent restaurants to visit, so going on vacation to eat out all of the time isn't high on our priority list.
However, I understand most people view vacation as the time go eat out alot and go shopping. I never understood the shopping bit, but I can appreciate why parents (ok, mostly moms) would appreciate not having to cook. I, on the otherhand, like cooking and as a general rule, like my cooking better than most restaurants.
For our upcoming (planned, but not reserved til 7 months out *bleaugh*

) trip with my in-laws, having the kitchen will be a major bonus as their budgets are pretty tight. Breakfast in the rooms, plus a few lunches and dinners thrown in will help stretch their budget alot.
So, to answer the question, our first meal after we went home for the first time at VB was cooked in the kitchen.
Happy Friday,
Joe
