We have boys so I have had no desire to try CRT..... However, I am very curious what lunch and dinner are like there? Is the food good or is it just the atmosphere that makes it so special?

We haven't done breakfast there, we did PSB instead and loved it. I had one meal there as a child but don't remember much of it.

The characters are there for breakfast and lunch now, but you can have dinner there without them =) We may hit it for dinner this next trip, DH really wants to dine in the castle just once.

I have boys also so we don't do CRT either. We did go there for lunch back in 2003 before it was all characters all the time. It was kind of cool. They called hubby the king and my boys princes.

Lunch was a little cheaper than dinner from what I remember, of course this was back in 03.

It was neat to try once but I won't be going back anytime soon. Mostly because we do have boys and also because there are just other restaurants we have to try.

We've never eaten there either. We did Pooh at CP our first year and the food was great, the characters were interactive and friendly....etc. I would like to do CRT just to get in the park early and to go up in the castle but just don't want to compete with everyone wanting CRT. Anyone want to let me walk in with your for your ADR's just so I can snap some pictures of the empty main street? LOL

I've eaten there twice - the first time it was great atmosphere and fun. the second time i was totally disappointed by the service and the food. i won't be going back there anytime soon. i don't think it's as great as everyone makes it out to be.

We have never done this either...but this afternoon I got an AR for the dinner in Oct. It's not the character, but I just want to get IN THE CASTLE! :goodvibes I'm excited about it, hopefully the food will be okay. There doesn't seem to be many options, but oh well...at least I'll be in the castle.

I have had breakfast there for our last two trips last year and we LOVED it!!

I thought the food was wonderful and our service was great - we had the same server both times!

I would go again in a heartbeat - which is why starting Monday I will be up at 7:00 am making my phone calls until I get seating!!

Haven't eaten there for breakfast or lunch, but had a wonderful dinner there in October 2003. I think we're going to go again this year. It did take a while to be called for our PS (lots of people/families waiting), but once our names were called and we went up in the elevator it was truly magical. Great service, theming/atmosphere and the food was wonderful.

We had dinner at CRT in June. Hated the food(mostly fat prime rib and a steak so tough I couldnt eat it) But the service was great, our DD loved dressing up in her Cinderella dress and getting called Royal and Princess all evening, and I think the highlight was seeing Wishes from our table. Would we take the kids again? Probably, just because of the look on DDs face.

How do you see wishes? Is it out the back window as you are looking at Fantasyland? How good is the view -can you hear the music?

I have two DD's and we've never done it. I just didn't want to stress over making those PS's. They never even knew about it until this trip and they aren't even interested in the Princesses now, so I don't think we missed out on much. We've done the Park Fair dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming and that was good enough.

We had a late PS, 9:30. We didnt have a window table but it was the next row of tables so I dont know how much those people could see but we saw alot. They dimmed the lights and played the music. You can see alot of the fireworks, but not all of them. It was pretty cool, we felt like we were inside the show :)

After going for a couple of times to WDW, we are finally having dinner at CRT. My 2 DD's have no idea the princesses are there dor breakfast and lunch. One of them will be 13 during our trip so it's safe to say she is a little past that, although she does love them and all the other characters. My other DD 9, has a long lasting love affair with Chip n dale and they are pretty easy to find.

Dining in the castle is something everyone would like to do princess or not. I prefer meeting the prince (if I am lucky enough) at 1900 PF. I have already met many princesses on our previous trip and do not feel the need to ABSOLUTELY dine with them in the castle. The DD's either. Maybe when they were 4 or 5, then I would have set that clock like many Disers and tried my best to get that booking. Unfortunately my girls are growing up too fast.

Enjoy your little princesses!

We've never done it and have no plans to -DS is 8 & DD is 7, she is into Minnie so we usually go to the Beach Club or Cheif Mickey's and see her there

I have no desire to do CRT. The kids would hate it too. They are 15 and 13 and avoid princesses at all costs. I think we will stick to our favorite character meals in the other Disney parks and hotels. ;)
