Anyone else nervous about making ADRs?

I'm a little worried because I'll be disappointed if we don't get Le Cellier and the kids will be disappointed if we don't get CRT, but I plan on being flexible and know we'll have a great trip and great meals even if we don't get our first choices.

I am also an OCD planner, and I was super nervous about making our ADRs at the 90 day mark for our upcoming trip June 4-13. But I got everything I wanted, it did take three hours on the phone, but I got all the places I wanted and the only change I had to make was moving our Sci Fi ressie to Wednesday of that week instead of Saturday. I've heard that Sci Fi is the only restaurant that's really problematic to get right now, it might be a glitch in their new system or SWW. Here is what we got, at all the times we wanted:

Prime Time
Crystal Palace
Sci Fi
Coral Reef
Jiko
Le Cellier
Tony's Townsquare

I'm so nervous, I'm goin' crazy :hmghost: I hadn't really been paying attention to the happenings with ADR so called on my 180 day and when the CM said I had another 90 days to go, I'm like omg what is happening??? what did I do wrong? Obviously I've figured it all out since, but I'm still worried about getting everything I want, when I want it.

I'm definitely nervous!!! Last year when I booked at 180 days out, I had 1 or 2 ADRs that I was unable to get and had to have a back up plan, so with the 90 window and going the 1st week of Free DDP, I'm definitely nervous. We arrive on the 15th but because our package doesn't begin until the 16th I have to use that as my 90 day guide. I am making backup plans just in case though.

I am totally stressed about going for Free Dining at the end of Sept. Right now I am worried about getting anything. I have a few popular places but I am totally fleixible with days and times. I am hoping if I call at the 90 mark that I will get something. Anyone with experience with FD, your advice is appreciated!!!!!!

This is what it looks like so far.

day two no actitity planed yet except 5:00 hoop dee do
day three - hollywood studios no ADR the kids want to go to pizza planet
day four have breakfast ADR for Trails end but have not read any thing good thinking about changing to whispering canyon.

Any suggetions would be helpful. i am normally a planner but have no idea where to start.

We just booked a last minute vacation, when I tried ADR's (2nd week of May)
I couldnt get into Chef Mickeys for dinner or 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

Here's my experience... just got off the phone a short while ago...

-Called at 7:00am (90-day window)
(Ok... I tried at 6:56, 6:58, 6:59, and didn't get through until the clock just turned to 7:00... they're pretty accurate!)
-Finished opening menu by 7:02am & was told I would be waiting less than 3 minutes
-Got CM at 7:04am
-Finished all 11 reservations by 7:20am

And I got exactly the times I requested on 8 out of 11 ADRs! :woohoo:
I had to take 5 min later for Chef Mickey's on our first day, 20 minutes earlier for Whispering Canyon on our fifth day, and 5 minutes later for Le Cellier on our seventh day. I certainly can't complain!

Also, I booked all the popular restaurants first... Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, Les Chefs de France... just to make me feel better... I actually didn't realize how popular Whispering Canyon was going to be but still, 20 min is the most adjustment I had to make! No problem!

(And here I was planning on back up days too!) :lmao:

Here are the final results:

Day 1 – Chef Mickey’s
Requested: 5:00pm
Actual Time: 5:05pm

Day 2 – Planet Hollywood
Requested: 7:30pm
Actual Time: 7:30pm

Day 3 – Nine Dragons
Requested: 6:30pm
Actual Time: 6:30pm

Day 4 – Tusker House Donald’s Safari Breakfast
Requested: 8:00am
Actual Time: 8:00am

Day 4 – Boatwright’s
Requested: 6:30pm
Actual Time: 6:30pm

Day 5 – Whispering Canyon
Requested: 6:00pm
Actual Time: 5:40pm

Day 6 – Teppan Edo
Requested: 12:30pm
Actual Time: 12:30pm

Day 7 – Le Cellier
Requested: 6:00pm
Actual Time: 6:05pm

Day 8 – Les Chefs de France
Requested: 5:00pm
Actual Time: 5:00pm

Day 9 – ‘Ohana
Requested: 6:30pm
Actual Time: 6:30pm

Day 10 – Chef Mickey’s
Requested: 10:00am
Actual Time: 10:00am

Now, I still have to plan for our free dining this fall, and I doubt those ADRs will be this easy! But we'll see! :goodvibes

I got all mine this morning, too! It was awesome!:yay: Called at 7, on hold for 15 minutes, off in 45 total for 14 ADR's!

9 of them were the exact time (8am, 6pm) that I asked for!

CRT I asked for 8, got 8:15, WCC asked for 12 and got 11:50, Ohana I asked for 7 and got 6:50!

Don't stress anymore! It's going to be okay!

I guess we'll be going the same time then! Now we just have to hope for sunny skies, yet not-so-blistering heat! July... are we crazy?!?!

I can't believe I was so nervous that I was actually having difficulty sleeping last night! I hope these reports are putting the rest of your minds at ease... Yes, it is going to be ok, everyone! ;)

After more trips than I can count now, I'm a little nervous to use the new system. I have to call for my ADRs next weekend for our July Anniversary trip. We are on the DxDDP and I plan to do a signature every night. I want things to go perfectly, so a little concerned. BUT, more concerned booking my August ADRs. I have to start calling while at WDW in May for that trip, plus both trips are a split stay, so I have to deal with that and to make things more complicated, my August trip is a party of 8 and if I can't do all of my August ADRs during my first call (while in WDW in May), I'll have to call my first day back to the office after a 2 week trip to WDW -- so I've put in to be on leave that day. OK, a little stressed using the new system, but I think I have every right to be.

I called today and my hold time was 4 minutes. I had no problem getting all of my ADRs at the times I wanted. I also had no problem booking my ADRs with the +10 for a split stay based on my first reservation (like in the past). I had a great CM and left her a great reference afterwards. I was nervous for no reason!

I was nervous too!! But I called 7:00 am 90 days out and got EVERYTHING!!! Exactly the times I wanted and really quickly!! I think the total call time was about a 1/2 hour.

Good Luck!!!

I was nervous esp since phoning from the uk is very costly.

I called dead on 7am and was told my wait time was 3 mins - just after 2 mins I was cut off (obvously a CM pressed the wrong button) Well I was beside myself it was 7.06 and I was frantically dialling the number. When I got through I waited about 15 mins. However I still got all the Adrs I wanted and virtually at the time I requested.

Hi Guys,

Le Cellier - lunch (new to us) said any time and was offered late lunch or late dinner
Tepan Endo -Lunch ( dh 's fave)requested 12.00 and got 12.00
Crystal Palace -dinner (new)requested 7pm and got 7.05pm
Yak & Yeti dinner ( new)requested 7pm and got 6.45
Sanaa dinner (new) requested 7pm and got 6.50
Ohana (loved it last time) requested 7pm and got 6,50

4 new restaurants - hopefully they will be good;)

I was so excited once I got off the phone;):

I'm really nervous because it's our first time on the Dining Plan, and during free dining, so I know there will be a LOT of competition on that first day window.

We know what restaurants we want for TS, but don't know what days. I'm not sure what approach to take, start with the park hours or start with the restaurant availability?

I feel your pain!

I'm very nervous (I'm an OCD planner). I do have some flexibility and acouple back-ups

I am the same way. And I am a perfectionist. And I get upset if I dont get myway :rotfl2:

I called at 7am on the 90 day mark and was able to get all of these on the days and times i wanted:

1900 park fare
kona cafe
coral reef
mama melrose
CRT
Chef Mickeys

I was shocked! :rotfl:
