Anyone Else Leaving This Weekend?

Well here I am up at 4:00 am!!! Can't sleep, so what do I do? Get on the disboards!!!! We are leaving this coming Monday morning and I am really praying that Dennis misses everyone!!!! Is anyone else leaving around this same time? We will fly out of DFW at 6:50 am, barring any delays because of the hurricane.

Yes, we too are leaving this weekend! We are leaving from JFK on Saturday. Have a 8:00am PS at CM on Sunday then off to MK! I hope! I am getting worried! Were we crazy to go now? What is the latest on Dennis?

We are driving from Atlanta on Sunday.

Someone has posted a nice storm tracking map on the Community Thread. If it follows the projected path (which hurricanes don't always do) the center of the storm should be coming to the Gulf Coast in the Alabama/Mississippi area around the middle of the day on Sunday. Which puts Orlando well out of the way for severe storm activity (although rain is probably in the forecast)

Hopefully we will be south and east of the storm by the time it reaches land.

Hey, fellow Texan!!! We are leaving next Saturday morning. I'm freaking out by all these hurricanes. I am scared about flight delays and flying in general!!! Have a safe trip!!!

hey there everyone....yup....we'll be arriving together with Dennis on Sunday morning.....after many many many many many hours traveling....something like 24 hours traveling and being awake all day before we actually leave for the airport.....

so we'll have been awake for 36 hours when we land in Orlando....i just hope Dennis actually lets us land there......the longest day.....but it gets us to the happiest place on earth, so it's worth it...

I've been watching as much as I can because we will be leaving out of DIA the next weekend. The Weather Channel hasn't said anything about any other storms out off of the coast of Africa and I am holding my breath. I can understand how you feel. I will tell you that the other Colorado family we are going with was there last August during the Hurricane. They said Disney was a very safe place to be during the storm. I know the biggest worry is getting there so I'll keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers for a safe and wonderful trip.
