Anyone Else Here Getting Suspicious?

Let's hope we can; I heard that VMK Central closed down in WDW. Is this true? :sad2:

Yes this is true, VMK Central is gone from WDW, you cannot even make a new peep in the park there.

Questions!:

-What resorts?
-What does the Pirate Pin consist of?
-Where in Downtown Disney?

;)

Not sure of where in Downtown Disney but someone else did answer it I believe for there.

As for the resorts:
Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian had these pin packs for sale...guessing they are available at all the Disney resorts in WDW. I also found these pin packs for sale at various stores in the parks as well....MGM/Movie (renamed to something else can't remember) had them for sale under the giant Sorcerer Hat; they were also for sale in couple of the stores I stopped in while at Animal Kingdom, as well as Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

Pirate Pin sets are sold for about $15 as 2 random pins in a (at this time a darkish (sort of brown/purple) colored) box which also as a logo of small VMK on the box. The pins are inside a dark plastic bag tucked into the box. Which makes it difficult to know what you are buying until after purchase.

The pins could be the following prizes: pirate prison guest room, VMK pirate medallion pin, Captains Quarters Couch, Gold Treasure Chair, Crow's Nest Barstool and Crows Nest Barstool Pole, Seagull's Nest Pirate Hat as shown in pic below, Pirate Treasure Rug (small diamond one with no skull), Flaming Ransacked Window (firewall), Ship's Bow Chair, or Ship's Stern Chair.

And yes you can also purchase them on line.

Dude

You can also call them and order the pins over the phone. I believe all this info is in the player's guide stickied at the top of this forum. ;)

Yes VMK Central closed down. However, the pins are sold all over WDW property. We bought them in all 4 parks, Downtown Disney and even a box of them at our resort this past visit just three months ago.

Additionally, you can purchase them by contacting WDW Merchandising.

Telephone: 407-363-6200
Fax: 407-352-6369
Email: wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com

It is $14.95 per box, which contains two random pins and codes. Their shipping fees are outrageous. The larger your order, the better the shipping fees.

Would you happen to have the link to where you can get them online? :goodvibes

I can't get it on the computer I am using currently but try VMK Main page under newsletter promotions

oops also answered above by VMK Mouse :)

Thanks for the help, I will look there too...:goodvibes

This is a terrible scan, but this what you get:

One of these card with a coordinating trading pin attached. Code is on the back like all ofther VMK trading cards.

There is one more, which would not fit on the scanner and that is the barstool.

Wait, so each pack contains those ALWAYS? It's not random? :cutie:

Each pack contains any two of those that are pictured, which are put in at random. You can't tell what you're going to get until you purchase and open the package because they're wrapped in black plastic bags.
