Is it just me, or is anyone having trouble using the online reservation system? Haven't been able to check for availability in two days.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!

And I looked under the Help section to let them know, but it only leads you to disneyworld questions and answers, not the site help.

Same here!

I have totally given up - I have contacted Disney because I thought it was the fact that I work on a Mac..., but they tell me their site is working fine and that being on a Mac is not an issue. They suggested I clear the cache, clear all cookies, etc. which I have done and still nothing. Since they started rolling out the new games, etc. their site has never been right. It will be a bummer if I can no longer get on their reservation system to check out pricing - I like to do that first, before I contact either WDW directly, or an agent.

I hope someone from Disney is watching these boards. I do not think we are alone, either. I am reading about more and more people having problems with the site. All I can say is at least I am not the only one. I really thought I was starting to lose my mind when I could not get on.

True! I love checking prices at different resorts before I bother someone online just for information. Are there other online ways to check prices other than directly through disney?

Disney wants you to take a survey, go to the bottom of the home page of http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index

Look for this

See the "Site Survey: Tell us what you think" Located right above ther Disney.com Logo - take the survey and really tell them what you think!

I've only had trouble early in the morning. Later in the day it works fine for me.

I use a mac too, and initially thought that might be a problem. But I tried the site on my PC also, and no luck. It really shouldn't be an issue with macs anyway. BUt honestly, we can't be the only ones. I've checked reservation systems at dozens of other hotels and airlines just to make sure I wasn't operating in some 'planning twilight zone' that covers only my house, and everything else is fine. It's just the disney system that doesn't operate. Very frustrating.

They are losing revenue with a system failure like this.

My travel agent told me that her bookings have been up since Disney has changed the reservations on the website this year. I had told her I had tried to look at options myself (I am an overplanner) and I could never get a straight answer.

This is why I use the agent. How can you trust your reservation is right when you can't get a clear and concise quote?

I thought it was just my MAC that wouldn't work on the site; it is very frustrating to not be able to get quotes to plan my new trip to WDW. I have done the survey and am hopeful that they will listen to us and fix the site.

Another one having problems. Try to check availabilty/prices in January--it jumps back to today's date. Oh bother. Pooh on it. :headache:

Has anyone had any luck checking availabilty? I still couldn't get the site to work today.:sad2:

I have never, ever, ever been able to use my Mac on the WDW reservations site. I can use my PC - but the WDW website almost always has some problem or another... you'd think they'd have better webmasters, huh? I have had trouble over the past few days no matter what computer I use (including the ones at work).

Still trying. Tried 2 different computers with no luck. I did take the survey, but I doubt that will be looked at.

Please everyone having problems with the Disney website - take the survey - I got a call from the Disney corporate office this past week based on my comments to them about the website. They take this very serious and if enough people let them know that the site sucks they will do something to change it.

If all we do is gripe here on these boards - nothing will get done about how horrible the site is.

I ,too am on a MAC and cannot use the disney site...I thought it was b/c of the Mac, but it sounds like there are bigger issues. Glad to know it isn't just me!

I've taken the survey (several times!) and sent an e-mail . I'm also using a Mac. So maybe that is the problem. But I was always able to use it in the past.

Weird. I've never had any problems with the website. I've been on it for the past week without as much as a hiccup. It's always slower than most other websites due to the graphics, but it doesn't bother me too much. Maybe Disney hates Mac's as much as I do.:lmao:

The only time i've seen this problem is with banking websites as i do technical support for that. All other sites would work, but when it comes to accessing the bank website, it wouldn't find it. The only way to fix it was to do a "release" in the ipconfig screen. Of course, this was for windows-based PC's and not Mac's.

Good luck to everyone having this problem and hope it gets resolved soon.

This isn't a site malfunction - it's because the rates for 2008 haven't been released yet. Until they are, it won't let you look at next year. You would have to call instead.

Maybe it's just me, but I've had problems with the reservations page when I go to the dates portion of the reservation. It doesn't work using Safari, but if you have Firefox installed there are no problems. So now when I cruise the Disney site I just open Firefox. BTW, I was in an Apple store a while back and tried it on one of their display machines and had the same problem. Unfortunately, the store was too busy, and I didn't have the time to talk to an employee about the issue.

Saratoga Springs on 8/4 for a week! :yay:

I too use a MAC and in May I had no problems checking availability or booking online. It was only in the last month or so that I've come to have no accessibility to the availiability pages of the website. I just tried opening the page using Firefox rather than Safari and wouldn't you know....firefox worked! So, maybe it has come to be that there is an issue with the site and Safari users :confused3
