No suggestion, but I just called to book for my family, and all she offered me was 3:40pm (Brown Derby) Being new to this crazy process of getting reservations at Disney, I took it! The show is at 9pm.
Now I'm off to re-arrange my already re-arranged schedule to make things work. At this rate I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation-planning very soon.![]()
LOL me too...I haven't made my ADRs yet (window opens Saturday) and all I can think about at work is getting my Fantasmic Package, and what if I can't get Le Cellier? This isn't healthy![]()
Forgive me if my question is a stupid one (I've never dined at Disney before), but I have to ask because I was seriously considering this Fantasmic pkg for us in May...
If our dinner res is at 5, and the show starts at 9, does that mean that we will be sitting in the restaurant for 4 hours???
If any of you have done this before, please enlighten me before I make a huge mistake (my ADR window opens Monday).
Thanks!
No, it just means that you'll eat at 5 (or whatever time your ressie is for). Then you'll get a ticket that you have to show to sit in the package seats for Fantasmic. You can leave the restaurant when you finish your meal and tour the park as usual until it's time to arrive for Fantasmic.
Hope that helps!
I called yesterday morning at 0700 ET and nothing was available at Mama Melrose for either night that Fantasmic was showing for May 1st-9th. However, they had lots of times for Brown Derby and Hollywood & Vine. I asked if maybe Mama Melrose didn't get downloaded for some reason and the CM told me they had, but were all already gone.![]()
Something odd though, was that after I gave her my credit card number, she told me she had to have the three digit security code on the back. I told her they didn't need it when I booked California Grill. She just kept insisting she had to have that 3 digit security code from the back of my cc. I finally told her to please try to run it without it, because I've never had to give it to them before, either for ADRs that required a cc guarantee nor for resort reservations. She got a little huffy, but finally ran it. She came back and said it went through, but still seemed agitated because I wouldn't give that 3 digit security number to her. I then asked her to please email the confirmation to me and she said she couldn't and that I'd have to go online, enter the confirmation number, and then I could email it to myself. Which I did, with no problem. Why would she insist on having that 3 digit security code from the back of my credit card though?![]()
Aubree, I took a peek on the Visa website, and I guess it's not an unusual request.
'Proof that your card is in the right hands
The 3-digit security code shown on the back of your Visa card lets merchants know that youre physically holding the card when you make a purchase online or over the phone. It's yet another layer of protection Visa implements to prevent fraud before it happens.'
Here is the link to the page;

Hope that helps.
I've been calling every morning checking for a Mama Melrose Fantasmic pkg since Monday (11/02/09). The CMs have offered Brown Derby and Hollywood & Vine for both May 2nd and May 5th, but nothing has been showing up for Mama Melrose. I just called again and suddenly Mama Melrose is available for both nights. I got one for May 2nd at 4:40pm. So apparently they just released some today.
Trying to book Fantasmic at Brown Derby 180 days out...May 2nd, and have a time of 3:45 when 5 pm requested? I can't believe booked already, not this early and slow time. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
