anyone else having problems w/Direct TV today

OMG I am so happy to see this thread! I keep getting the blue screen and "no signal" message. Plus, my remote seems to have died entirely. I have replaced the batteries in my remote twice now and the remote will still not bring up any menus on the screen or change channels -- I thought I was going nuts.
 
glad to see this. ours was giving us problems this morning. We left for work and I figured I'd deal with it later!!
 
Our box wouldn't even power on this morning! I figured our box was just fried, since our other one fried over the weekend also. I guess we'll try it again tonight.

Thats what I thought. I was getting real pissed! The DVR is about 50% full of programs we haven't watched yet, and most we can't get On Demand because they don't have the networks in On Demand. Whats up with that?
 
We had problems this morning too. According to DH the one (which is HD) would not change channels. The one in the bedroom was working fine. Came home this afternoon and so far it is working.

Come to think of it, when I went to record some shows this morning, I got some update message. I really didn't pay attention to it. Maybe that is the problem?

Wow, I can't believe I found this post. We just bought a new flat screen tv (hdtv) and we started having the same problems, thought at first it was the new tv. I'm sorry everyone is having problems but I'm glad to know it's not the new tv.

got that today also...a discount would have been nicer ;)
anyway, glad it wasn't just us and really glad it is back up and running now!
 
We had problems YEST am.
It was fine the night before. wouldn't work yest am.
I reset mine through the website from work and that worked. I got the letter too.
