Anyone else having issues with command strips?

I've used these every year to hang up the garland and such in the house. This year they are constantly falling off the walls.

What's the deal? It's a pain in the butt!

Well, you are in a different place so something must be different. Is there any texture to the walls? Is the paint very glossy? Are you using alcohol to wipe the area before you apply? Are you using the alcohol on yourself and thus to drunk to apply them correctly?

I've used them every year to hang Christmas Stockings on the mantle. That's a very smooth surface. I've never used Command on anything with any texture - might that be an issue? or humidity?

I've had the same problem and nothing else is different.

add me to the list. I bought some to hang pictures on a smooth wall in the family room. They lasted less then a day before they fell down.
