Feel more comfortable. It seems like every hotel we have stayed in (even non-disney) we always have to rearrange the furniture. I know last year at the dolphin, I moved everything around so that nothing was blocking the windows (wonderful view of Epcot and MGM) I moved the desk, table and chairs and also had to make room for crib. It was perfect when I was done and housekeeping left everything where I put it (at least for our stay). I just wondered if other people move stuff around too, or if I am just a nut.

I've moved the small table and chairs either closer to the wall or further away from it as needed, but that's only a few inches in either direction anyhow. I've moved the chairs to other parts of the rooma s needed as well, but I would imagine most people move them around throughout their stay, just like you would move your kitchen chairs at home when you need a chair someplace on the other side of the room. I've never moved larger pieces of furniture, except to get access to a phone jack or electrical outlet hidden behind, and again that would only have been a inch or two.

But, I don't think you're weird if you are moving things to accomodate a crib or be able to see out the window. A while back there was a post here from a woman who rearranged the entire room, right down to the beds and dresser, because she wanted it to look more like her house. That's a bit extreme IMHO.

We moved one of the beds right up next to the wall during our trip in 2000 to Dixie Landings.....so my DD would not fall out of bed during the night!! Also moved the small table/chairs to accommodate our stroller. Not weird in my opinion!

We move the bed up against the wall (next to the bathroom) as well so our son doesn't fall out. We always moved it back each day to allow the housekeeper to clean easier.
We've also moved chairs from one room to the other so we can all eat together, but again, always moved them back.

How does everyone move the beds? Most of the hotels I've stayed in, the frames were bolted to the floor. The only thing I could have moved was the mattress? I'm just curious, because I prefer sleeping against a wall (I guess it's a security/comfort thing for me!) and usually can't move the beds...

The beds at All Stars and Port Orelans RS/FQ are on standard bed frames that are not attached to the wall.
