Anyone else have time off this time of year?

My preschool follows the local school district, so Friday was my last day until Jan. 5. I am so glad, because I just got tapped to make all the desserts for Christmas dinner and I will actually have time to do it.

I'll be off from Dec. 24th (going in on Wed. is optional) till the following Tuesday.. Then I'll work Tuesday and Wednesday and be off again until January 6th..

I only work Tues., Wed., and Thurs. normally - so the holidays falling on Thursday this year gives me extended time off..

I usually always manage to take time off during the holidays. This year however, is a bit extreme since I'm changing jobs/career change. My last day was Dec 16th and I start the new one on January 5th!

Woohoo!!

Of course I've had the flu since I stopped working and have not gotten a chance to enjoy the time off nor get much Christmas stuff done.

I get a 4-day weekend this week, that's the only time off I have. I'm not complaining though.

I am working all but the 29th. I want to take my vacations to get away from working...this week everyone is gone, so it is like a vacation.

I work in a school also and get 25 vacation days a year, I try and save my days for the best possible use. As a result here I sit wasting time on a computer and (except for the Basketball team practicing) I'm the only one in the building.I do have work to do its just hard to get started.I'll get the 24th and 25th off and the 31st and 1st. Were staying home this year.

We have 8 work-days off, and I'm taking one more. If I had the vacation time to spare, I'd take today and tomorrow off as well.

I'm really looking forward to that week+ off, too!

We get Christmas and the day after off as well as New years day.

Other than that i guess if I'd saved all my PTO I'd have about 3 weeks off right now. Not sure how they would function here without me though

Off from Dec 14th to Dec 31st (will have to go in either 29th or 30th to set up for our New Year's eve party and then go in on 31st for the party)

I spend the first week at Dsiney - just got back yesterday and had a ball. The Parks were just about empty until Friday when they started filling up, so got to ride all the rides I wanted with little or no wait -- mostly straight walk on. Perfect time to visit the World.

I save my PTO days so that I can be off with my kids. I have been off since Dec 18 and will return to work Jan 2. I enjoy being off this time of year.

I work at G.M. We get off from dec 23 to jan 5th.

I was off from 3 pm yesterday to the 5th of January!!!!

I also teach and have two weeks off, but my district really hates doing that and we only get the full 2 weeks about every 5 years. Next year we work until Wed. the 22nd, then have until Jan. 3 off.
Last year my kids had the full two weeks but I had to go back Thursday Jan. 2!!! BLECK!

Of course I had to pick a job that never closes open 24x7-365 days a year------A Hospital, but 29+ years ago I wasn't thinking about holidays just getting a job.
So this is my year to have Chritmas off from 12-22 til 12-29. And I have to work New Years Eve and Day. We have to switch off every other year.

I have about 2.5 weeks off from school before I have to fly back for Winter Term. Most people have all of January off but I am one of the ones with a short winter break.
