We bought at SSR in January of 2006. Almost immediately, we booked a trip for May 2006. We had an awesome trip "home," but we never received our DVC Member cards. We did have paper card things that stated we were owners that came with all of our paperwork. Being that these temporary cards didn't expire till the end of May and our trip was in the begining of May we didn't stress. However, now it is April 2007 and we still have no Membership cards.:sad2:
My real problem is we bought AP's since we are going to WDW in June and then again to SSR in Dec. I have received the vouchers in the mail, but I will need our Membership cards to redeem the vouchers for actual tickets when we get there in June. I did call Member Services, and they were shocked that we never received cards and then said it could take 6!!!!! weeks to get new cards.:scared1: Now I will be freaking out until they get here, and we leave June7th.:scared:
Any ideas???

Since you have already alerted MS, you should be getting the cards in plenty of time for your June trip. It takes 6 weeks because they are outsourced. My guess is someone dropped the ball last time. I remember it taking quite awhile for our original cards too. Anyway, you have it in the works now, and if you don't get them by teh first week of May, I'd call again. Maybe even call your guide. That sometimes expedites things.

If they don't get to you by the trip time I think you can go to the SSR tour area and they can issue you another temorary one. While this is not ideal and shouldn't have happened at least you will be able to get those APs activated. If you ordered through MS you may not even need the membership card. I don't remember showing mine when I activated the AP in December at DTD. I did have to show my driver's license. You would need it if you wanted to buy the AP there but since you already have the voucher which is in your name in their system you will probably only need ID.

Thank you, I've got my fingers crossed.
Also, you said you activated your AP's at DTD, where at DTD? I thought we had to go to one of the parks' ticket locations to activate them, I would rather go to DTD the day we arrive and active them.

There is a kiosk at DTD to turn vouchers into tickets, but the activation of the ticket actually occurs at a turnstyle when you enter the park. They need that for the finger scan.

The Guest Services desk is between Team Mickey and (I think) the store with the glass blown items in the Market Place. We always use this desk rather than the parks aas it is usually not as crowded. Good Luck!

The first time I had to get my grandson's AP/DVC I took a copy of my contract with the names and addresses and ID numbers on it. Since his name is different than ours and him mom is an owner, I didn't want any confusion. It worked fine, no problem. As for the OP not getting their cards, wow, that is a long time. We got ours the first month we bought in.

:cool1:
I'm sooooo excited, you'll never guess what arrived in the mail today.....our DVC Membership Cards. I guess all I had to do is start talking about them and they arrived. Thanks for all the info., we will definately exchange our vouchers at DTD.:thumbsup2
