Most of the time it's a fight. I am not a breakfast person, and I don't usually get hungry till about 11am-12pm.

I have really been trying to make a conscious effort to eat. I don't everyday. I know that it starts your metabolism in the morning.

Sometimes I know I try to talk myself out of it because I need to save my points for a special occasion.

Today, I made myself eat Kashi! I feel good that I did!

I am not a breakfast eater either. I am like you, I'm just not hungry in the mornings. I drink my coffee and around 9-9:30 I have gotten into the habit of eating something because I know that we really should, plus I have to eat something to be able to take my vitamins or they upset my stomach.

I try to eat low points for breakfast and lunch so that I can have a good dinner with the family. I will eat things like a banana, slice of toast with preserves, oatmeal. They are light on the point scale and fill me up enough until lunch.

You are right, we should all be eating breakfast and that really should be one of those meals that we eat that is very filling and then we have the day to work it off instead of eating a larger dinner, but I just haven't gotten to that point yet.

I am sure there are many others that are the same way and that we aren't alone:D . I'm sendin PD to you to help you become more of a breakfast eater.

Melanie i'm so not a breakfast person. When i first started i read and read and bought all that breakfast crap and i just could'nt do it. I tried like you but it only last about 3 weeks in. I stopped having breakfast and i'm just happier that way. I get up and have my half can of coke then i'm on the water all day and it just works for me to skip. Don't feel guilty. And i'm proof you can loose without having to force breakfast in. Maybe you could have lunch, snack and supper. That's what i do anyways. Anytime i eat breakfast it just makes me feel hungry earlier if that makes sense.

Hee hee, not me! I am up early with DH and most weekdays have had breakfast by 6:45-7:00.

As a matter of fact, I recently read that people who start their day with a good breakfast can boost their metabolism and burn UP TO 150 more calories per day...how is that for some breakfast eating motivation!!!

New to this board (thanks Kath)

Not a breakfast muncher either....DH tries to get me to at least eat cereal. And I don't find breakfast food as appealing as the other foods in a day.

I find myself thinking if I have another bowl of cereal I'm gonna barf (sorry for the visual).

I don't get hungry in the AM either tho., so that may be part of it.

Breakfast every day is a glass of cranberry juice, coffee and a bowl of raisin bran - gotta take care of the internals

I also find I need to eat before I get out and walk

Not me! I love breakfast. Unfortunately, what I love is Bacon, Scrambled Eggs with Cheddar Cheese and Hash Browns. I don't know, but I'm thinking not the best choices! ;) Instead I eat my oatmeal and my fruit!

Mmmm.... now I do love Bacon and hasbrowns or fried potatoes. If I could have them cooked fresh for me when I woke up everyday, I could really get into breakfast. Of course then I would need a lot more help than WISH could give to get the weight off that I would get from eating that everyday.

Darn!

Melanie

I usually grab a slimfast shake on my way out the door. It travels well & has some nutritional value.

I never eat breakfast but since starting trying to get rid of this extra weight, I am debating trying to eat something. I am doing the weight watchers plan and I feel like I don't want to give up those points for such a little bit of breakfast. I have heard that oatmeal is a good start to the day but will be looking for any suggestions (besides the bacon and eggs)! I may even look into the SlimFast drinks but I need to see how many points one would be. I do know that it is a very important way to start my day so I think we should make an effort.
